Timeform View

DON DANDY posted a fairly useful effort when getting off the mark over hurdles at Compiegne in the spring and can make a winning start for Olly Murphy having been purchased for €150,000 subsequently. Minella Buoy proved consistent in Ireland and looks booked for a place again starting out for Gary Hanmer with hurdling newcomer See Blue also in the mix.

Timeform Comments

Don Dandy (IRE)
Fairly useful form on his third start when landing 11-runner minor hurdle at Compiegne (2m, soft) in April for Mme M. Pineda. Changed hands for 150,000 euros since and looks the one to beat starting out for Olly Murphy.
Contemplation
Modest maiden on the Flat who came in ninth of 10 in classified event at Yarmouth (1m, good to soft) in June. Not an obvious one now going hurdling.
Elm Creek (IRE)
Didn't achieve a great deal in 5 starts for Donnacha O'Brien. Half-brother to jumps winner in Australia Mighty Oasis (2m-19f winner) which offers a bit of hope now hurdling on the back of a gelding operation.
Minella Buoy
Poor maiden on the Flat but runner-up on his first 3 starts in juvenile maiden hurdles and posted another solid effort with third of 11 in juvenile at Listowel (2m, good) last month on his final run for John Nallen. Considered.
Ollierob (IRE)
5/2 and tongue tied when a remote fourth of 6 in juvenile hurdle at Fontwell (2¼m, good to firm) on his debut 33 days ago. This Sottsass gelding needs to take a considerable step forward.
See Blue (IRE)
A fair 1m Flat winner for Richard Hughes but off since a below-par eighth in 1m Goodwood handicap in June. Changed hands for 85,000 guineas since so not out of things on yard/hurdling bow in a first-time hood/tongue tie.
Solar Jet (IRE)
Failed to beat a rival in pair of Flat maidens for John O'Donoghue in early summer. Pulled up on yard/hurdling debut in juvenile at Chepstow (2m, soft) 15 days ago. In top hands but lots more is required.
