None of these can be ruled out but TRIPLE TRADE scored in veterans company at Sandown last term and also made a winning return at Cheltenham last season so gets the nod from a yard well among the winners. Sure Touch has a very good record here and could emerge as the main danger, although the returning Ga Law is weighted to go well if ready to roll after 10 months off the track.

Ga Law (FR)
Runner-up in the Paddy Power Gold Cup at Cheltenham in 2024/25. However, only twice raced last season and failed to build on his third in the Charlie Hall at Wetherby when tenth of 12 in handicap chase at Ascot (3m, good to soft) in December. Handily weighted here though if fully tuned up.
Tommy's Oscar (IRE)
Proved consistent last season and bagged 3m veterans handicap at Carlisle in March. Shaped as if needing the run when last of 4 in handicap chase at Kelso (17f, good to firm) on his return 3 weeks ago. Can make his presence felt.
Mars Harper
Useful but inconsistent chaser for Gordon Elliott. Had a breathing operation before a good second for new stable at Fakenham (3m) but beat only one in handicap at Bangor (3m, good) later in May. Not out of things if on his A-game after a break.
Sure Touch
Useful chaser who goes very well here and landed the 2024 Summer Plate. In good form until a rare below-par effort when last of 4 over C&D (good) 29 days ago. Blinkers replace cheekpieces now (tongue strap also goes back on) and he needs considering.
Triple Trade
A dual winner (at up to 2½m) last season and also made a winning return in 2m handicap chase at Cheltenham. Yard is going very well so he's very much one to consider on his reappearance.
