Timeform View

PAPER MILL confirmed this season's previous promise when winning at Southwell last time and, with this longer trip promising to suit, he is taken to follow up. Rivers Corner could be the biggest threat having shown improved form in marathon handicaps last season, while The Doyen Chief is one to note on stable debut.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Paper Mill has traded at more than 2 times Betfair SP twice when winning during its last 5 starts.

Timeform Comments

The Doyen Chief (IRE)
Resumed winning ways at Kempton (3m) in January and good second over the same C&D next time. Found things tougher at Cheltenham and Punchestown in the spring, but he could fare better having had a breathing operation ahead of first run since leaving Alan King.
Rivers Corner
Better than ever fitted with tongue strap when easily winning Somerset National at Wincanton (27f) in January and also scored at Exeter (31f) in March. Excuses at Plumpton only 15 days later, so he can make his presence felt on return.
Livin On Luco (IRE)
Made all in the 3½m Southern National at Fontwell on last season's return and left behind a couple of lesser efforts when narrowly denied by Rivers Corner at Exeter (31f) in March. Pulled up in major handicap at Sandown (29f) when last seen, though does have a good record fresh.
Paper Mill
Prolific winning pointer who opened Rules account in handicap chase at Uttoxeter (3¼m) in November last year. Switched to a visor, was suited by the emphasis on stamina when doubling his chase tally at Southwell (3m) early this month. Can make a bold bid with blinkers now on.
