Timeform View

BOYCETOWN acquitted himself really well in the Champion Bumpers at both Cheltenham and Punchestown and makes obvious appeal on his hurdles bow. Thinkitdontjinxit and This Songisforyou may provide the chief threat.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Boycetown traded at a low of 3.00 and Betfair SP of 6.80 when losing last time, a race in which it raced in mid-field and travelled strongly early on.

Timeform Comments

A Hug Or Two (IRE)
Gamut gelding. Half-brother to 3 winners, including fair hurdler/chaser Never Off Duty and bumper winner/fair hurdler Hepahepa Naeney. Dam unraced. Likely best watched on debut.
Anunnaki (IRE)
€12,000 3-y-o, My Dream Boat gelding. Half-brother to fair chaser Rooster Cogburn. Fell sole start in points back in 2024 and is best watched on Rules debut.
Bog Cross (IRE)
Winning pointer but sent off big odds and finished well beaten in novice hurdle at Limerick 8 days ago.
Boycetown (IRE)
Off the mark in bumper at Down Royal on Boxing Day and improved on that, stepped up in grade, when making the frame at Cheltenham and Punchestown earlier this year. Holds strong claims on hurdles debut.
Cascando (IRE)
Successful in points and fared best of those held up when fourth of 15 in novice hurdle at Tramore (2m, good to soft) in April. Likely longer trips will see him in a better light, though.
Issy's Lad (IRE)
Offered very little in novice hurdle at Punchestown (2m, good to soft) 12 days ago.
Kidam Roque (FR)
Fair performer at best on Flat (all-weather) but no impact in maiden hurdles last 3 starts.
King Idaho (IRE)
Showed ability and probably would have benefited from more of a test when sixth of 15 in bumper (12/1) at Naas last December. Not seen since but is worth a second look in the market on hurdles debut.
Louis Winthorpe (IRE)
€60,000 3-y-o, Crystal Ocean gelding. Half-brother to 3 winners, including useful hurdler/chaser Shearer and bumper winner/fairly useful 2½m hurdle winner Frankie John. Interesting newcomer.
Ludus Magnus (FR)
Didn't show a great deal in a trio of bumpers but shaped with more encouragement when fourth of 15 in conditional maiden at Sligo on hurdling debut in May. Unseated early on at Punchestown the following month and remains open to improvement.
Midfield Magic (IRE)
Exceeded market expectations when fourth of 25 in maiden hurdle at Fairyhouse on debut in April but well below that level on first start for new yard at Gowran more recently.
No Loose Ends (IRE)
Half-brother to 4 winners, including fairly useful hurdler/useful chaser Dandy Dan (winner up to 3¼m) and useful bumper winner/fair 2m hurdle winner Bigbadandbeautiful. Off mark in points at second attempt (Feb 2026) and is worth a check in the market on Rules debut.
Passive Idaho (IRE)
Sent off big odds and was always behind in novice hurdle at this course on debut 20 days ago.
Thinkitdontjinxit (IRE)
Point winner who was runner-up in a pair of Thurles bumpers at the start of the year. Well beaten at the Punchestown Festival in the spring but type to come into his own now hurdling.
This Songisforyou (USA)
Fairly useful bumper winner/Useful winner on Flat who made an encouraging start over hurdles when fifth at Roscommon back in 2023. Subsequent 2 starts in this sphere were disappointing but he's been in good heart on the level and must be respected.
Touch The Clouds (IRE)
Made the frame in a couple of bumpers last season but ran poorly on his return at Roscommon last month and has a bit to prove now sent hurdling.
Young Mans Game (IRE)
Finished down the field in a couple of maiden hurdles last winter. Off 9 months.
Blues Street (IRE)
Just hinted at ability in Kilbeggan maiden hurdle on debut in April and no show on return here earlier this month. Probably one for handicaps later on.
Fergy Five (IRE)
Plenty of stamina in pedigree and looked one for longer term when sixth of 14 in maiden hurdle at Killarney on debut in May. Engaged 15:56 here Sunday.
Menez Are (FR)
Last of 5 in sole completed start in points and finished nearer last than first on Rules debut at Listowel last month.
What About Max (IRE)
Maxios gelding. Half-brother to modest hurdler Soldier In Mayo. Dam fairly useful hurdler (2m-2½m winner). RESERVE.
