TEED UP goes really well round here and is fancied to bounce back in style with victory at the chief expense of Shoot First, who returns on a handy-looking mark. Both Mystic Malina and Hgranca de Thaix can also play a prominent role.

Timeform Comments

Shoot First (IRE)
Useful hurdler. Best effort last season when fourth of 8 in conditions event at Punchestown (19f, good to soft) in December. Handily weighted if ready to roll on his comeback run and interesting, especially if the market vibes are positive.
Sa Majeste (FR)
Bordering on a smart staying chaser in 2024/25. Not so good since though and pulled up on final run for Willie Mullins in handicap chase at Punchestown (31f, good) in May. Reverts to hurdles for yard debut.
Balko D'ange (FR)
Useful hurdler who scored at Navan last November. Didn't appear to be making up much ground when throwing in a trademark mistake in the heat of the race at Punchestown on latest outing in April. Others preferred on return.
Open Secret
Made good start over hurdles last season, winning maiden at Naas and second in a Grade 3 novice at Thurles. Came unstuck in handicaps on final 2 starts, though. Arrives on the back of a pipe-opener on the Flat but will need to take a step forward to be involved.
Stumptown (IRE)
Very likeable sort. Added another notable feather to his cap when taking the Velka Pardubicka last October. Wasn't disgraced when fourth in his bid to make it back-to-back Cheltenham Festival wins in the Cross Country latest. Capable fresh and on a much reduced mark back over hurdles.
Hgranca De Thaix (FR)
His sole win over hurdles came with an impressive success on his return here in 2022. Respectable seventh of 15 in handicap hurdle at Fairyhouse (21f, soft) when last seen in April. Not out of things on his reappearance.
One Big Boum (IRE)
Blinkered when scoring at Navan and Fairyhouse last winter. Came in last of 6 in novice at Wexford (23f, good to soft) on debut over fences in May. Can't be discounted back in this sphere after a break.
Sportinthepark (IRE)
Took this event 12 months ago. Only twice raced since and pulled up in handicap hurdle at Fairyhouse (2½m, heavy) in February but can't be dismissed, especially if the market vibes are positive.
Prophet's Corner (IRE)
Gained a first chasing win at Limerick (3m) in March. Pulled up in handicap chase at Fairyhouse (25f, soft) following month though. Back over hurdles for reappearance and not out of it if on his A-game.
Teed Up (IRE)
Boasts an excellent course record both over hurdles and on the Flat, running another fine race when third of 20 in 2m hurdle here in August. Beat only one on Flat at Clonmel (17f, good) since but no surprise to see him bounce back in style.
Stay Gold (IRE)
Confirmed previous promise with success in 14-runner novice hurdle at Wexford (3m, good to soft) last July. Off since though so has his fitness to prove. Watch for market clues.
West Of Bally (IRE)
Bagged a maiden hurdle at Limerick last November. Only twice raced since and just eighth of 10 in handicap hurdle at Punchestown (23f, heavy) in February. His mark looks a stiff one.
Mystic Malina (IRE)
Doubled her tally over hurdles at Cork (3m) in March. Took her form up a notch with second of 8 in handicap hurdle at Kilbeggan (3m, good) in May, just failing. Needs considering on return after a 2 lb nudge.
Lough Nigara (IRE)
Improved last season, winning handicap hurdles at Punchestown and Thurles (23f). However, refused to race at Downpatrick when last seen in March.
