A tricky race to open the card but STASH THE CASH ended his time with Martin Dunne with a solid second over C&D in the spring and having joined a yard that have done well with new recruits this year, he could be the answer. Midnight Lir is a long time without a win but rates a likely player, with Timebar and Tomarlo next best.

Timeform Comments

Tomarlo
Cemented positive start made for Ollie Sangster when ending losing run at Wolverhampton (6f) in July. Not scaled same heights in 2 starts since joining present yard, though, not relishing the drop back in trip when sixth in a C&D handicap 4 weeks ago. Cheekpieces go on 1st time.
Midnight Lir (IRE)
Losing run stretches back over 3 years but largely held form well this year, briefly looking like mounting a challenge before fading into sixth over C&D 4 days ago. Blinkers back on in place of cheekpieces and he's worth a second look.
Stash The Cash (IRE)
Three-time winner over 5f for Tim Easterby earlier in his career. Winless for Martin Dunne but ended time with that yard with a solid second over C&D in April. Joined an in-form yard who have done well with similar recruits this year and he's an intriguing contender back from 6 months off.
Fancy Dancer
Successful 3 times during 2025 and gone close on occasions this year, not going down without a fight when second at Bath (5f) in September. Not in same form at Wolverhampton since, though, and bounce back called for with blinkers now replacing cheekpieces.
Mister Moet (IRE)
Successful twice on all-weather at Lingfield during early part of 2026 but well below par more recently, albeit his saddle reported to have slipped when last of 11 at Wolverhampton 4 weeks ago. Mark has eased further ahead of this at least.
Ten Cuidado (IRE)
Maiden who produced his best handicap run when third in cheekpieces at Bath (5.7f) last month. No excuses in trio of starts since, though, always behind in refitted visor (retained) when last of 13 at Wolverhampton 7 days ago. Hard to warm to at present.
Timebar
Still a maiden after 20 runs but showed promise when second at Newcastle over 7f in July. Possibly stretched by the return to 1m next time but possible he'll strip fitter having been off 8 weeks prior to finishing eighth over 7f here latest. Blinkers back on back at the minimum trip.
Beautiful Rumour
Lightly-raced 4-y-o who has hinted at ability whilst also looking a difficult ride, hanging badly right and never on terms when ninth of 13 on handicap debut at Wolverhampton (6f) 7 days ago. He's one to treat with caution now.
Bishop's Glory (IRE)
Scored at Newcastle (6f) last November and continued in good form on all-weather earlier this year. Form a little patchy thereafter but shaped as if better for the run after 3 months off when seventh in a C&D handicap 3 weeks ago. Blinkers back on in place of usual visor and better expected.
Lil Wade (IRE)
Long-standing maiden who offered little after 5 months off when ninth in a C&D handicap 4 days ago.
