Timeform View

Successful in a Kempton novice over this trip on her penultimate start, ENCORE found further improvement when second on handicap debut over 7f here 9 days ago, her not settling early probably costing her in the closing stages. A well-bred filly from a top yard, she remains open to improvement and shades preference over fellow 3-y-o and hat-trick seeking Courageous Sioux. Fantasy Obsessor and Angel Love complete the dangers.

Timeform Comments

Arabian Leopard
Began 2025 in good order and opened her account at Newmarket (7f) in May. Largely consistent thereafter and gained due reward when signing off last season with success back at that venue over this trip in September. Absent since but respected, particularly if supported.
Lady Roxby
Last success came in summer 2025 but holding her form well of late, again finding only one too good at Pontefract (6f, heavy) 7 days ago. Hasn't had many goes on all-weather (placed twice from 3 starts) and she ought to go well again from same mark.
Angel Love
Made it third time lucky in 6f novice events last autumn and back on the up following a break of late, showing a gutsy attitude when doubling her tally from the front at Newcastle (6f) 25 days ago. Nudged up just 2 lb and this low-mileage filly ought to remain competitive.
Powdering (IRE)
C&D winner who got off the mark for the season on the Newmarket July course in the summer. Been in a bit of a lull more recently and whilst her mark has steadily eased as a result, others arrive with more pressing claims. Down in class today.
Zooella (IRE)
Returned this season with much improved efforts when winning 6f handicaps at Lingfield (all-weather) and Thirsk (turf debut) in July. Excuses next time but quickly back to form when finishing close-up fifth in class 2 handicap at Newmarket (6f) 32 days ago. Respected for in-form yard.
Handle With Care
Bagged third victory at Lingfield (7f) in May and returned from 4 months off with a creditable third having gone from the front over 7f here 5 weeks ago. Cheekpieces go back on ahead of this return to sprinting but her mark is probably about right.
Courageous Sioux
Promising debut fifth in Thirsk novice on sole outing for Michael Appleby. Off 15 months and progressive for new yard, making it 2-2 in a 5f handicap here 5 weeks ago, suited by a strong pace and staying on to lead late on. Should have more to offer, not least now tackling 6f.
Lunar Melody
Shaped well when second in 7f Doncaster maiden on return but yet to really build on that, off 8 weeks/had breathing operation prior to finishing fifth in a C&D handicap 4 weeks ago. May sharpen up for that run, though, and it remains early days with her.
Anaisa
On a losing sequence but back to form when in the frame in 6f handicaps at Newcastle and Redcar in September. Best not judged too harshly on latest Musselburgh run (hampered final 1f) and she's still unexposed on all-weather. Step back up to 6f will hold no fears.
Encore (FR)
Progressive daughter of Hello Youmzain who justified good support when opening her account in novice at Kempton (6f) in September. Took a further step forward when second on handicap debut here (7f) since, her early keenness arguably costing her in the closing stages. Remains capable of better.
Fantasy Obsessor
Landed first 2 starts in all-weather novice events in summer 2025. Winless since but steadily eased in weights and likely she'd have pushed her stablemate closer with a clear run when third over C&D 3 weeks ago. This is tougher but she's respected for her in-form yard in any case.
