NASCONDINO still looked a work in progress when runner-up in a Nottingham maiden last time and can go one better here now stepping up in trip. Merci Monsieur has a long absence to overcome but could still emerge as the main danger with his yard in top form, while Wadacre Icon and The Resdev Tyke also need factoring in.

Timeform Comments

Guthrum (IRE)
Well held in a pair of 11f novices at Southwell in the spring. Cheekpieces go on for first time after a break.
The Resdev Tyke
A dual 2m hurdles winner and also a good second in handicap hurdle at Doncaster (17f, soft) when last seen out in February. Not out of things on his belated Flat debut after 8 months off.
Duke Of Ormonde (IRE)
€50,000 yearling, Siyouni gelding. Half-brother to 11.6f winner Little Hustle and French 9.7f/1¼m winner Broadfield. A considered newcomer, especially if the betting vibes are positive.
Eagleonthebalcony
100/1 and hooded when last of 14 in maiden at Nottingham (1m, good to soft) on debut 12 days ago. This Gleneagles gelding needs to take a major step forward.
Merci Monsieur (GER)
Sea The Moon colt shaped with promise in 1m maidens at Lingfield and Doncaster (strong form) last summer. Off 13 months (gelded) but he remains with potential for in-form yard. Very much one to consider.
Nascondino (IRE)
Improving Coulsty gelding who still looked green when second of 14 in maiden at Nottingham (1m, good to soft) 12 days ago. A player with better still to come over this longer trip.
Rowlf
Sent off 6/4 but looked green when fourth of 6 in novice at Epsom (1¼m, good to soft) on his debut 29 days ago. This Golden Horn gelding seems sure to improve.
Wadacre Icon
Nathaniel gelding shaped well when runner-up in 11f Carlisle maiden on his debut in September but he failed to build on it with fourth of 9 in novice at Ripon (1½m, good to firm) 30 days ago. Worth another chance.
Gallus Millie
Passing Glance mare. Half-sister to 15f-2¼m winner Gallus Norman. Dam 5f-1¾m winner who stayed 2¼m. Makes a belated debut and others appeal more.
Corallience (IRE)
Showed some ability when a debut sixth in 1m Newbury novice last autumn but well held all 3 starts this season, tried in cheekpieces when last of 14 on handicap bow at Southwell (11f) in July.
Sergeeva
Half-sister to several winners but well held in 7f novices here and at Southwell recently. Tried over a much longer trip here.
