BIG APPLE JACK has largely had a good season on the whole and can resume winning ways back down in trip. Course specialist Hurstwood should be thereabouts again, with Miss Rainbow another to consider.

Timeform Comments

Lumenbourg
Resumed winning ways at Carlisle in June and got back to form when second to Big Apple Jack at Hamilton last month. Produced a laboured effort at latter course last time and bounce back required.
Sunday River
Thrice-raced maiden who's shaped quite well when placed on both starts in novice races for this yard. Has a potentially tricky draw and market best guide on handicap debut.
Reposado
Maiden who was runner-up in pair of big-field Curragh handicaps earlier in the season but saw his form subsequently tail off. Made an inauspicious start for his new trainer when behind at Lingfield in August. Hard to make a case for.
Fordham Flyer
Showed some promise when making the frame twice from 3 starts in his juvenile campaign last year but has run poorly in handicaps this season. Easy to pass over.
Miss Rainbow (IRE)
Resumed winning ways at Thirsk in June and added to that at Catterick in August. Respectable third of 9 in handicap (9/2) at latter course (6f, good) when last seen last month. Not taken lightly.
Taaklam (IRE)
Won emphatically in first-time headgear at Southwell in late-August, finding a chunk of improvement to beat a subsequent winner. Tardy starts have held him back in 3 outings since and, though the handicapper has given him some help, comes with risks attached at present.
Big Apple Jack
First-time blinkers worked when off the mark at Hamilton in September, beating Lumenbourg into second by a length. Shaped as if still in good form when third at Ayr (7f, heavy) last time, seemingly finding his stamina stretched in the testing conditions. Can go well again with blinkers refitted.
Lesley's Boy
Nineteen runs since last win in 2024. Stopped the slide with pair of in-the-frame finishes in 6f Hamilton handicaps last month but below form at Ayr since. Needs a couple of these to falter.
Impressor (IRE)
C&D winning veteran who has come good at this time of year once again, landing a gamble when winning in the mud at Hamilton (5f) last month. Failed to back that up over that same C&D just over a week later. Remains on an attractive mark.
Solar Cooper
Capitalised on the drop in grade with cheekpieces fitted when winning at Ripon in May. Not in the same form since, including after a 10-week absence last time. Cheekpieces back on but others more persuasive.
Hurstwood
Boasts an excellent record here, his back-to-back victories this summer making it 5 wins over C&D. Failed to dominate when seventh of 12 in over C&D 10 days ago. Looks competitive on form.
Hares Bredth
Sole success over C&D in June but has been more miss than hit this season on the whole. Has dropped below last winning mark.
Dinamo (IRE)
Narrow winner of a Thirsk nursery for Karl Burke last summer but found things tougher the remainder of the campaign. Had just over a year off but has fared no better on both starts for new yard.
Star Allure (IRE)
Long-standing maiden who's taken time to come into form this season, making more impact when third of 9 in handicap at Bellewstown (5f, soft, 18/1) 25 days ago. Plenty to find on form.
Miss Tino
Has made little impact in 3 novice events and is very hard to make a case for now going handicapping.
