Only a handful make any interest on recent form, with PHOENIX OF DREAMS taken to follow up from last time. Rascal Recknell should appreciate the return to this trip and is on a handy mark, while Kiss Me My Love arrives on the back of a couple of good efforts.

Timeform Comments

Rascal Recknell (FR)
Showed little on first 4 starts this season but stopped the slide to a degree when fourth at Leicester (6f, good) 13 days ago, nearest finish. Looks ready for this return to 7f.
Phoenix Of Dreams (IRE)
Has returned from a 5-month break in great heart, winning on polytrack debut at Kempton last time by neck from Bold Shout. This is his first run of the season on turf and this course winner rates shortlist material.
King's Call (IRE)
Yet to add to his debut success in 19 subsequent outings and this year's efforts suggest he's no closer to doing so. Blinkers quickly refitted.
Kiss Me My Love (IRE)
Successful twice over 1m here this season, the latest in July. Overcame some lesser efforts when runner-up at Catterick and over C&D on last 2 starts. Entitled to be thereabouts again.
Not Me
Won over extended 7f at Chester (first start since leaving Ivan Furtado) in June before solid fourth at Hamilton following month. Hasn't gone on since.
Runninsonofagun (IRE)
Usual front runner who has scored twice this season, latest at Musselburgh in August. Not in the same form under more testing conditions after and failed to bounce back on the all-weather last time. Is now 2 lb below last winning mark.
Cairdeas
Nineteen runs since last win in 2024. Has been rather in-and-out this season, so isn't the easiest to predict.
Rua Mor (IRE)
Lightly-raced 4-y-o maiden who showed improved form switched to handicaps when third at Wolverhampton on penultimate outing. Raced freely and failed to build on that at Newcastle last time. Has work to do.
Mayberry Moon
Dual winner who joined present yard for only 1,000 gns from Michael Dods last autumn and hasn't gone on from his reappearance fourth at Ffos Las. Hood goes back on.
Sir David (FR)
Tumbled down the weights and back on the scoreboard at Beverley in August. 14/1, good neck third of 18 to Uncertainty in handicap over C&D (good to soft) 10 days ago. Needs to prove he can back that up.
Stoneywell
Hasn't gone on since handicapping and needs to show more before becoming of interest, for all the assessor has given him some further help.
Uncertainty (IRE)
Dropped to a career-low mark and finally opened her account in 18-runner handicap (40/1) over C&D (good to soft) 10 days ago by short head from Kiss Me My Love having been well positioned. Now needs to repeat that.
Head For Freedom
Sole success came in a Beverley claimer on second career start last season. Best effort of this campaign when 1¾ lengths second of 10 to Launch Time at Ayr last time. Needs to find a bit more.
Oselton
Opened his account on the all-weather at Southwell last season but has only one standout effort this term when a close second at Doncaster in May. Others more persuasive.
