Timeform View

Lots with chances but YAFAARR comes here in excellent nick so is fancied to bag a third course success of the season at the chief expense of Naepoint who has fallen in the weights and hinted at a revival with a fourth at Ayr last time. Freddie Steady Go is weighted to have a big say if shrugging off a lesser effort at Doncaster two days ago.

Timeform Comments

Master Richard
Two-time 7f winner in 2025. In good form early in 2026 but back with Ann Duffield when below par at Southwell (7f) and York (1m) last 2 runs. Needs to step forward.
Khafiz (IRE)
Dual 7f novice winner for Roger Varian in first half of 2025. Went the wrong way for Ed Bethell after and not at his best of late for current yard, though failed to stay 1m at York last time. Cheekpieces go on for first time.
Rajapour (IRE)
Dual C&D winner this season, latest in August. Only ninth of 10 in handicap at Haydock (1m, heavy) 10 days ago though so bounce back is needed.
Thunder Roar
Winless this season but not disgraced when seventh of 10 in handicap at Haydock (1m, heavy) 10 days ago. Tongue strap goes on for first time. Took this in 2024 so can't be ruled out.
Caim
Debut novice winner at Beverley and runner up in 7f listed event at Newbury last autumn. Hasn't built on that as might have been expected in a trio of 7f/1m handicaps this season and now gets first-time cheekpieces.
Naepoint (IRE)
Successful 3 times over 1m in 2024 for Ed Bethell. Lightly raced since and took a step back in the right direction with fourth of 14 in handicap at Ayr (1m, heavy) last month. Can't be dismissed off a slipping mark.
Jez Bomb
Consistent sort who gained a second success of 2026 at Pontefract in July. Set a lot to do and not seen to best effect when eighth of 20 in handicap at York (1m, soft) 16 days ago. Possibilities.
Hale End (IRE)
Doubled his tally for the season at Ayr (1m) in July but not at his best of late, eleventh of 20 in handicap at York (1m, soft) 16 days ago.
Ceo Stealth Mode (IRE)
Made a winning start in 6f maiden at Sligo for Paddy Twomey in May 2025. Down the field all 3 starts for this yard after 16 months off, eleventh of 13 on handicap debut at Doncaster (7f, heavy) 2 days ago.
Freddie Steady Go
Debut bumper winner. Got off the mark in this sphere (at 150-1) in Carlisle novice in May and has posted some solid efforts in handicaps since. Caught the eye when third at York (1m) but below-form seventh at Doncaster (7f, heavy) since though. Handily weighted if back to his best.
Yafaarr (IRE)
In fine form since the cheekpieces went on and bagged a pair of handicaps over C&D and 1¼m here. Posted a good fourth of 11 off 7 lb higher at Newcastle (1¼m) 10 days ago. A player once more.
Simon Pierre (FR)
Won 1m novice at Thirsk in April but well held in handicaps at Chester (1¼m) and Newcastle (1m, tongue tied) this summer. Has since had a breathing operation.
