Timeform View

Not a strong maiden on paper and WALKING SAINT could be the way to go as she retains potential on her return. Stablemate McAllister is a danger, while Caprison should have more to offer, and Eliodam may finally start fulfilling his potential for a new yard.

Timeform Comments

Eliodam (FR)
Proved disappointing for Willie Mullins, failing to complete in 3 starts over hurdles last season (bled when last seen here in March). Needs a big upturn in fortunes for new yard but first time out might be the time to catch him and this doesn't look a strong race.
Go Loud (IRE)
Unplaced completed starts in points but went with more encouragement tried in a bumper at Punchestown in June. Failed to build on that at Bellewstown following month and now goes hurdling.
Le Vent D'ex (FR)
Well beaten in maiden hurdles/beginners chase this season.
Lyrical Park (IRE)
Placed in points and took a step forward from his hurdles debut when mid-field at Limerick recently. Making his third start of the month and cheekpieces go on. Looks one for handicaps.
Magnificent Era (IRE)
Well beaten all 5 starts over hurdles.
Mcallister (IRE)
Ran to a fair level when sixth of 24 in good 4-y-o maiden hurdle at Punchestown in November. Well held switched to a bumper at Leopardstown following month but retains potential back in this sphere on return.
Thranduil (IRE)
Well held in Downpatrick bumper and Punchestown maiden hurdle. Hood goes on.
Western Note (IRE)
Offered something to work with on debut at Down Royal in May 2025 but went backwards from that at Kilbeggan the following month and not seen since.
Caprison (IRE)
Never dangerous in Navan bumper on debut in September but showed much more switched to hurdles at Punchestown (125/1) 12 days ago and can improve.
John Gun (FR)
Showed a bit more tried in a hood when fifth of 12 in maiden hurdle at Wexford, though spoiled his chance by tending to jump right. Looks one for handicaps.
Lucky Valley (IRE)
Point winner who has shown a bit in Cork bumper and Limerick maiden hurdle 6 months apart.
Poetic Parable (IRE)
Some promise in Roscommon and Gowran maiden hurdles. Probably being brought along with handicaps in mind.
Walking Saint
Showed a fair bit in maiden hurdles (at up to 21f) and a bumper last season. Yard successfully targeted the maiden hurdles here last year and she could be the way to go on her return.
Hee Hiles (IRE)
Hinted at more ability than she had in bumpers when mid-field in Fairyhouse maiden hurdle a fortnight ago, though will be of greater interest when handicapping.
Nameyourgame (IRE)
Placed on completed start in points and has looked one for the longer term over hurdles, never in the hunt on recent return at Limerick. RESERVE.
Slea Head (IRE)
Remains with no form over hurdles. RESERVE.
