THE COBBLERS WIFE can make it 2-2 over hurdles since joining Anthony Mullins. Talas Kera, Ardera Gun, Portetta and Champagne Dawn all look credible dangers in a competitive handicap, with Allroadsleadtorome a potential improver.

Timeform Comments

Andys Flame
More miss than hit since returning from an absence. Possibly didn't take to blinkers in a Clonmel claimer last time, though probably isn't one to be making too many excuses for. Drops into a 0-100 handicap with usual cheekpieces back on here.
Champagne Dawn (IRE)
Cork maiden hurdle winner in 2024. Arrives on the back of a couple of his better runs in handicaps, 11¼-length third at Fairyhouse (2m) latest. Worth another go over this sort of trip, too.
Minority Interest (IRE)
Much improved when off the mark in handicap at Gowran (2½m, soft) in decisive fashion this time last year. Blew more cold than hot the remainder of that season, though, and improvement needed following 5 months away.
Drumconnor Hill (IRE)
Low-mileage 5-y-o who has quickly become disappointing after a relatively promising start. Certainly looks worth a go in first-time cheekpieces.
Allroadsleadtorome
Attracted strong support when well-held fifth in a bumper at Kelso in May (possibly not facing cheekpieces on that occasion). Finished with running left when down the field on qualifying run at Bellewstown (17f) in early-July. Potential improver now handicapping over a longer trip.
Rebel Queen (IRE)
Made more impact than previously on the third of her 2m juvenile starts. Hasn't benefited from longer trips as expected more recently, latterly on return at Roscommon (2½m). Starts out in handicaps with a bit to prove.
Thurman (IRE)
Lightly-raced maiden. Has offered little in 2 handicap starts 4 months apart, more recently over C&D (50/1) in August. Brian Hayes takes over from 7-lb claimer here.
Ardera Gun (IRE)
Maiden who has placed in consecutive handicaps, again hinting at temperament (reluctant start/hard driven early) when runner-up in big-field handicap at Limerick (21f, good to soft) 9 days ago. Well weighted if Mark Walsh can get the best out of him.
Portetta (IRE)
Step back in the right direction from her slipping mark when 16¼ lengths sixth of 15 at Punchestown (2½m) latest. Player if building on that with Danny Gilligan replacing 7-lb claimer.
Champ Young (IRE)
Offered something to work with second time up over hurdles at Kilbeggan (19f) prior to a forgivable qualifying run at Tramore (2m) in August. Type who ought to be more competitive now handicapping over a longer trip.
Stumblin In (IRE)
Didn't shape as though poised to capitalise on a falling mark this summer. Wasn't revitalised by switch of stables (left Jack Doyle) last time, either, pulled up at Gowran following 10 weeks off.
The Cobblers Wife (IRE)
Low-mileage 8-y-o who proved a different proposition when landing a gamble at Tramore on stable debut (form working out well). Again strong in the betting when encouraging fourth on chasing debut at Downpatrick in late-August. Can double her tally back hurdling.
Talas Kera (IRE)
Built on previous run when career-best second in a handicap largely contested by maidens at Gowran (2½m) last time. Seemingly in the groove now and ought to be thereabouts again.
Alright George (IRE)
Low-mileage 6-y-o who isn't badly bred for one at this level. Fared no better for switch to handicap hurdles when last seen in January 2025. Dropped another chunk in the weights and while entitled to need this, the market may prove the best guide.
Moonlight Paradise (IRE)
Improved in first-time blinkers to open her account in 10-runner handicap hurdle at Tramore (21f, good) in August. Likely in better heart than the form figures of her 2 subsequent starts would suggest (latterly on chasing debut). Isn't discounted back hurdling. RESERVE
True Harmony (IRE)
Winning pointer whose best effort over hurdles came when runner-up in 3m course handicap in May. Has made a positive start over fences, despite not going with much fluency. Interesting if first-time cheekpieces have the desired effect back over hurdles. RESERVE.
Flash The Badge (IRE)
Lightly-raced 5-y-o. Fared no better despite being shorter than previously in the betting at Kilbeggan (19f) on latest start in July. Could do better with cheekpieces now on for first time. RESERVE
