HARTFORD will undoubtedly require further but he showed plenty in 2 notably warmer races last season and this looks a good opportunity for him to make a successful return. Tale of Intrigue might be the danger.

Patchy record in bumpers but good claims on his penultimate second at Tramore when splitting a promising pair.
Hartford (IRE)
Cost top connections €235,000 last year and is from a good jumping family. Has made a promising start in stronger bumpers at Naas and Punchestown (stuck to his task admirably having been off the bridle a good way out). Will want a longer trip but this is a good opening on his return.
Madison Twist (FR)
Has shown a bit in a couple of bumpers (trained by R. P. Rath on debut) but will need a big jolt of improvement to make an impact here.
River Cartwright (IRE)
Knew more than on debut after 3 months off and left that effort behind under a much more positive ride when second at Tramore a fortnight ago.
