SILVER HILL appeals as one who can make up into a useful stayer for his good stable and is taken to deny Dunkerque a fifth win of an excellent first half of the season.

Timeform Comments

Dunkerque (DEN)
Has thrived over fences this summer, scoring 4 times in small-field contests at up to 23f. Last 2 defeats shouldn't necessarily be taken to suggest that the handicapper has got him.
Kent De Thaix (FR)
Dual hurdle winner at up to 3m last season. Respectable sixth of 15 in 3m Ayr handicap at the Scottish Grand National meeting on final start. Has had a breathing operation ahead of reappearance (also tongue tied first time). Point background suggests he'll take to fences.
Silver Hill (IRE)
Bumper winner who was successful twice in novice hurdles at around 2½m last season. Shapes as if this step up to 3m is sure to suit (often came off bridle early over hurdles) and very interesting now switching to fences for his handicap debut.
Sleedagh (IRE)
Went the wrong way over hurdles and hard to draw obvious encouragement from his first attempt over fences at Perth last month, finishing last of 5. Return to 3m should suit at least.
Rocheval (FR)
Won his first 3 starts (bumper and 2 hurdles) but 0-9 since, including pulling up in handicap hurdle at Ayr when last seen in April. Switches to fences for the first time on his return.
