In a contest where few arrive with compelling claims RULE ME IN is taken to build on his latest Newton Abbot second to a well-treated rival. The returning Empty Nest boasts decent C&D form and is a big player on his return. Humble Jumble could do better now switched to fences.

Timeform Comments

My Friend Sean (IRE)
NON RUNNER.
Loulou Madrik (FR)
Matched his fair hurdle form when runner-up on chase debut at Carlisle (3m, good) in April but produced a rather laboured effort when seventh of 9 at Hexham in this headgear combination 6 months later. Jamie Hamilton, who rides the majority of the yard's runners, is on stablemate Empty Nest.
Balking (FR)
Much improved when runner-up on handicap hurdle at Wetherby in January 2025. Not seen again until last spring, showing he retains his ability when fourth at Hexham (2½m, good to soft) in April. Tackles fences for the first time on return.
Humble Jumble (IRE)
Debut bumper winner. Placed twice in novice hurdles (including here) but made an inauspicious start to his handicap career when pulled up at Perth in April. Off 6 months ahead of this switch to fences (point winner and very much a chaser on looks).
Empty Nest (IRE)
C&D winner in March 2025 and also runner-up over C&D last winter. Claims if he's fully primed after 6 months off. The mount of Jamie Hamilton from the stable pair.
Uptown Harry (IRE)
Veteran who snapped a losing run in good style over 3m here (good to soft) in January. Creditable in-frame efforts on next 3 outings but pulled up at Perth final start. Chance he'll need this after 6 months off.
Rule Me In (IRE)
Fair hurdle winner. 0-8 over fences but he did take a step forward with cheekpieces added (retained) when 8 lengths second to a handicap blot at Newton Abbot (21f, good) last month. Good shout if in similar form.
Aill Dubh (IRE)
Reacted well to a change of tactics when making all over 23f here in March and went in again at Cartmel (21f) in July. Creditable third of 5 at Sedgefield (3¼m, good) 43 days ago. Back down in trip with refitted blinkers replacing cheekpieces. 7 lb out of handicap.
