Timeform View

A facile winner at Chester in September, MIRACULOUS will find this less demanding than recent assignments and with the step back up in trip another likely plus, he could well be the way to go. Yarmouth scorer Marching Mac thrives in testing conditions and is feared, with the selection's stablemate Manila Scouse another to consider.

Timeform Comments

Marching Mac (IRE)
Cashed in off his reduced mark at Sandown in June and benefited from the ease in class when doubling his tally for the year at Yarmouth (5f, soft) 7 days ago, just holding on. Of interest again under a penalty with forecast conditions in his favour.
Miraculous (IRE)
Doubled his tally for present yard when well backed to notch a second 6f Chester success last month. Minimal impact in higher grades on last 2 starts, sixth in Catterick Dash over C&D 10 days ago but drawn wider than ideal then and this is a less demanding affair.
Belsito (GER)
Enhanced excellent Hamilton record when successful over 6f in September. However, not scaled same heights in 2 subsequent runs, readily brushed aside having been unable to lead in a 6f veterans handicap here 10 days ago.
Manila Scouse
Ground-versatile type who opened his account for 2026 at Ayr (6f) in July. Largely struggled thereafter but mark has eased as a result and posted his best effort since when second of 10 in a veterans handicap 10 days ago. Weighted to go well if arriving in same form.
Homestrait (IRE)
Dual 7f winner this year who bettered her 2 previous outings on a rare start at this trip when keeping on for third at Pontefract (heavy) 8 days ago. Placed on 3 of her 4 previous visits to this track and she's not out of things.
Aberama Gold
Veteran who was a narrow winner over C&D off 2 lb higher in April and lines up here in good form, off 11 weeks prior to finishing fourth at Doncaster (6f, heavy) 4 days ago. Entitled to step forward from that and is in the mix.
Azure Zain (FR)
All the better for his reappearance when edging ahead close home in a big field at Ascot (6f) in May. Exploits have been mixed subsequently, below best when seventh of 8 at Hamilton (6f) 5 weeks ago. Is now 1 lb below last winning mark at least.
Quercus (IRE)
Boasts a fine record at this track, winning over C&D for the eighth time in August. Wide draw/step up in class found him out when last of 10 in C&D veterans handicap 10 days ago and may just find a couple too good again.
