This is wide open but KAARANAH continues at the top of his game so is taken to bag a fifth C&D victory off the same mark as when a very good recent C&D second here. Mythical Bird is also weighted to go well and next on the list ahead of Newfangled and Roi De Coeur.

Doubled her tally for the season at Salisbury in August and has continued in good form, fourth of 10 in handicap at Newmarket (9f, good to firm) 32 days ago. Merits consideration again eased 1 lb.
Roi De Coeur (IRE)
Improved since switching to handicaps, readily gaining a second success in 5-runner selling handicap at Southwell (1m) in September. Up 7 lb but not taken lightly in his current mood.
Shady Bay (IRE)
Registered a fourth career success when scoring at Nottingham on return and held her form well since until last of 10 in handicap at Bath (1¼m, firm) 28 days ago. The type to get back on track.
Ted Le Saux
Landed 1m novice at Newcastle in January but has failed to build on that, looking one paced when fifth of 10 in handicap at Leicester (1¼m, good) in June. More is needed after a break.
Kaaranah (IRE)
Enjoying a fine time of things this season, winning over C&D for the fourth time this year in July. Very good second of 10 back over C&D last time. Can go very well again off an unchanged mark.
Hozam (IRE)
Shaped with promise when placed in a pair of maidens here for George Boughey. Back on track for new yard with fourth of 11 in novice at Southwell (7f) 24 days ago. Goes up in trip for his handicap debut but others look better treated at these weights.
Newfangled (IRE)
Gained a second C&D success in April. In good nick until just a fair seventh (when sent off 6/4) in handicap at Brighton (1m, good) 29 days ago. The sort to bounce back.
Serious Look (IRE)
Does most of his racing here and a 3-time C&D winner. Not at his best on a rare turf start when seventh of 13 in classified event at Doncaster (1m, good to firm) last month. No surprise to see him get back on track.
Ciao Capo (IRE)
Enjoying a very good season and bagged a third victory at Beverley (1¼m) in August. Not disgraced when eighth of 12 in handicap at Redcar (1¼m, good to soft) last time. Possibilities.
