Timeform View

A chance is taken on EARLS who has dropped to 8 lb lower than when third in a stronger race here at the summer festival. Jp's Express is respected on the back of his good third in a big field at the Curragh recently. San Aer's fine Galway record, including 2 wins in this race, earns him a place on the shortlist along with Johnny Murtagh's Flash of Fire.

Timeform Comments

Highbury See See (IRE)
Cheekpieces on first time, career best when winning 16-runner handicap (10/1) at Leopardstown (8.5f, good to soft) 9 days ago, just holding on. A first-time visor goes on now.
Never Loose (IRE)
Won 15-runner maiden here (7f, heavy) on debut last autumn. Promising handicap debut when fourth of 15 at Gowran on return in April but ran no sort of race here last month after another break. A tongue tie is reached for after that.
Amplitude (IRE)
Bit below form when seventh of 14 in handicap at Gowran (1½m, soft, 10/1) 8 days ago. Significantly down in trip.
Excuzio Joe (IRE)
Course winner. Second of 5 in handicap (28/1) at Bellewstown (1m, soft) on recent return from a long absence. Claims if she can build on that.
Flash Of Fire
Fairly useful performer. Creditable fifth of 10 in handicap (22/1) at Naas (7f, soft) 17 days ago. Not discounted.
Flying Fortress
Twelfth of 16 in handicap at Roscommon (1½m, soft, 20/1) 15 days ago but had been in good form prior to that. Significantly down in trip.
Cherry Hill Girl (IRE)
Tenth of 11 in handicap at Naas (10.7f, soft, 12/1) 16 days ago. Back down in trip. First-time blinkers need to have a reviving effect.
Lady Arwen
In fine form this season, winning 3 times, most recently over C&D in July. Good 3½ lengths third of 16 at the Curragh early this month but ran one of her lesser races there 12 days ago.
Stable Lane (IRE)
Thrice-raced maiden. 50/1, second of 13 in maiden at Limerick (1m, good to soft), having benefit of enterprising ride. Off 139 days. Makes handicap debut. Unexposed but this mark demands a bit more.
Earls (IRE)
Three-time course winner who was also a fine third here off 8 lb higher at the festival in July. Not in quite the same form since but is too well handicapped to ignore despite an awkward draw.
San Aer (IRE)
Has drawn a blank since winning this race for a second time in 2023 but he recorded 2 good efforts at the festival here in the summer and claims if a lesser performance last time can be forgiven.
Titanium (FR)
18/1, below form thirteenth of 23 in handicap at the Curragh (1m, good to soft) 7 days ago. Blinkers back on.
Jp's Express (IRE)
C&D winner. Good third of 19 in handicap at the Curragh (9f, soft, 22/1) 12 days ago. Can give a good account.
Aquilla Star (IRE)
C&D winner on soft in September but found out off 9 lb higher at Bellewstown (1m, soft) since.
Sylkie
Three-time C&D winner, including this in race in 2024. Eleven runs since last win. Bit below form seventh of 12 in handicap at Naas (10.7f, soft, 11/1) 16 days ago. Back down in trip.
