Timeform View

SPACEBOUND wasn't seen to best effect when fourth at the Curragh last time and he can build on that recent effort to open his account. The main danger could be Saliba, who wasted no time getting back on track when runner-up at Roscommon, while Subtle Shade appeals as an interesting newcomer for Joseph O'Brien.

Timeform Comments

Spacebound
Off 3 months ahead of his second handicap start, shaped better than the result when fourth of 16 at the Curragh (1m) 23 days ago, helping to force a demanding gallop. Major player as he drops back in trip with hood applied.
Danpaddyandy (IRE)
Starman gelding. Half-brother to useful 6f winner Hierarchy and Italian winner up to 8.4f Chemeh. Dam 5f/6f winner. Has a fairly useful standard to aim at on debut.
Howya Pal (IRE)
Hasn't offered much in a pair of maidens 11 weeks apart, seventh of 11 at Roscommon (7.5f) 15 days ago. Looks to be up against it.
Mr Mercury (IRE)
Failed to beat a rival in his first 3 races and fared little better when eighth of 11 in maiden at Roscommon (7.5f) 15 days ago. Tongue strap now fitted.
Red Cuillin (IRE)
Slowly away and never involved on his first start when twelfth of 18 in maiden at Cork (1m) in September. Looks one for further down the line.
Saliba (IRE)
Improved form when second in a Punchestown maiden (9f) in September and soon bounced back from a lesser effort when filling the same position in 11-runner event at Roscommon (10.5f) 15 days ago. Can make his presence felt dropped in trip.
Shorten The Winter (IRE)
In need of the experience on debut, finishing well held when tenth of 15 in 9f maiden at Leopardstown 9 days ago. Drops in trip with tongue strap added.
Spectical (IRE)
Some promise in 2 starts for Mrs J. Harrington last year but hasn't kicked on in 3 outings this season, trained by Andrew Balding on the first 2 occasions. Gelded ahead of stable debut, finished closer than previously when 4½ lengths ninth of 19 in maiden at the Curragh (9f) 12 days ago.
Tide Of Fortune (IRE)
Left debut form well behind when second in 18-runner maiden at the Curragh (6f) in June. Disappointing at the same course next time, though this step up in trip should suit as he returns from 4 months off.
Petticoat Pilot (IRE)
Was very green on debut for Susan A. Finn when last of 15 in maiden at Cork (6f) back in July 2024. Absent over 2 years since with tongue strap now applied.
Abiding Memory (IRE)
Offered something to work on when fifth of 11 in maiden at Naas on debut 17 days ago, keeping on gradually. Plenty more required in this contest, though.
Maybe Art (IRE)
Little impact in 2 maidens this month, the latest when tenth of 13 at Navan 6 days ago. Needs another run for a handicap mark.
Subtle Shade (IRE)
Sioux Nation filly. Half-sister to smart winner up to 1m Northern Express and 1m winner Charming Princess. Dam winner up to 8.3f (2-y-o 6f winner). Noteworthy newcomer for her much-respected yard.
