Timeform View

Three-time C&D winner UNA MATATA is very well treated on her form here earlier in the year and having produced her best effort for some time when third over C&D 12 days ago, she could well be ready to strike. Leannespour remains pretty lightly raced and isn't one to be writing off from her basement mark, whilst Expound finds himself operating from a career-low mark if bouncing back over this shorter trip. Roman Harry completes the shortlist.

Timeform Comments

Expound
Yet to fire this year and despite having a lower mark on all-weather to work from he finished well held over 10.7f here 12 days ago. Steps back down significantly in trip here and assessor has afforded him a big chance if bouncing back.
Final Boss (IRE)
Fair form when third in 6f maiden at the Curragh a year ago but no better than mid-division this season, producing a laboured effort when tenth of 20 in handicap at the Curragh (7f) 2 weeks ago. Blinkers go back on but others much more persuasive.
All Hail (IRE)
Maiden who disappointed at Cork on his penultimate start but wasn't disgraced making all-weather debut when fourth of 14 in a 6f maiden here 33 days ago. Switched yards since and the return to 7f looks in his favour now.
Roman Harry (IRE)
C&D winner last winter and best effort since when runner up over 1m here in August. However, consistency not his strong suit and he disappointed at Laytown the following month. Return to this venue an obvious plus following 7 weeks off, though.
Una Matata (IRE)
Three-time C&D winner earlier this year and produced best effort for a while when third of 14 in a C&D handicap 12 days ago, carried left final 1f but keeping on. Finds herself very well handicapped on her form from earlier this year and she could well be the answer.
Whistling Jamesie
Left previous form behind when making a successful nursery debut at this course (6f) 12 months ago. Largely struggled this time around but he stopped the slide when fifth in a C&D handicap back in July. Assessor has eased his grip further ahead of return from a break.
Pattyandselma (IRE)
Never threatened in 3 maidens and having again proved easy to back, showed nothing when ninth of 10 in handicap at Killarney (1m) 23 days ago. Much more required.
Shamanka (IRE)
Maiden who returned to form when a close fifth at Leopardstown (7f) in August and not far off that level when sixth of 14 in handicap at Roscommon (7.4f) later that month. Assessor has eased his grip further ahead of this and first-time blinkers may well have positive effect now.
Jazzy Dancer (IRE)
Returned to winning ways when making all over C&D in February. Not so good on turf during the summer but possible in need of the run when eighth returned to this C&D 12 days ago. Goes minus usual headgear here but better showing not ruled out.
Never Mind Me
Went the wrong way for Andrew Balding and offered little in 2 all-weather starts since returning from a lengthy absence for present yard.
Glen Breeze (IRE)
Won at Limerick (7f, good to firm) in July. Mixed record since and arrives on back of laboured effort at Bellewstown 27 days ago.
Strikepoint (IRE)
Lightly-raced sort who was very well backed but he failed to improve when twelfth of 16 in handicap at Gowran (1m) 9 days ago, the trip appearing to stretch him. Drop to 7f in his favour on that evidence and interesting if support comes for him again.
Churchill Gale (IRE)
Winless for Tom McCourt and offered little both starts upon reappearing for new stable last month.
Leannespour (IRE)
Low-mileage filly who again shaped better than bare result when fifth in a 1m handicap here in September. Rather disappointing she failed to build on the promise of that run when seventh over same C&D 33 days ago but she isn't one to write off from her basement mark.
