Timeform View

DURAN has been running quite well since the visor went on and perhaps a drop to a 0-70 for the first time can see him get his head back in front. Irish raider Alnofoor relishes the mud and is second choice ahead of Rambuso Creek, a dual course scorer this season.

Timeform Comments

Duran (IRE)
Seventeen runs since last win in 2025 but has posted some respectable efforts since visored, including latest fourth of 14 at Haydock (5f, heavy). A potential class act in a 0-70.
Campenaerts
Dual 5f nursery winner for Archie Watson, including on soft. Back on form for current yard when reaching the frame at Wolverhampton on his last 2 outings.
Level Up (IRE)
Two 5f Chepstow wins on contrasting ground this summer. Shrugged off a couple of below-par runs when third of 8 at Bath (5f, good) 9 days ago. Visor back on.
Vince L'amour (IRE)
Up-and-down performer who was beaten just under 6 lengths when below-form fourth of 9 at Pontefract (5f, heavy) 9 days ago. Others arrive with more pressing claims.
Dragon Spin
C&D winner in May and went in again at Thirsk in June. Not at the same level in her recent starts but dangerous to dismiss having dipped to 2 lb below the mark she defied at Thirsk.
Edgewater Drive (IRE)
Won pair of 5f handicaps on soft ground last October but hasn't offered enough in 3 comeback outings this autumn (including at Leicester on Monday) to make a good case for him here.
Run This Way
Successful in 6f handicaps at Redcar and Thirsk in May. Only narrowly denied another win at Ripon last month and respectable fifth of 14 at Redcar (6f, heavy) on Monday.
Rambuso Creek (IRE)
6f classified winner here on soft in June and added a C&D handicap on good to soft a fortnight ago. Only seventh of 9 at Yarmouth since but could bounce back at venue which evidently suits.
Alnofoor
Won in the mud at Navan and Bellewstown in the spring. Shaped as if back in form when fourth of 21 at Navan (6f, soft) last Wednesday and this Irish raider merits plenty of respect.
Loco Lobo
Proved she retains ability after 9 months off when third of 5 in handicap at Bath in September 2025 but not seen again until a well-held fifth at Catterick a year later.
