Timeform View

STAR ROSE made a promising start when beaten just 4 lengths by the Futurity runner-up Gran Dia on debut at Salisbury 4 weeks ago. That wasn't unexpected given her strength in the betting that day and she can take this with improvement forthcoming. Flash of Colour, High Society (a stable companion of the selection) and Lady Bb are appealing newcomers.

Timeform Comments

Comrade Alexi (IRE)
Promising start in Ascot maiden that is proving strong form and was left poorly placed having taken a keen hold at Leicester (again 1m) a fortnight ago. Better to come.
Flash Of Colour
Foaled February 26. Dubawi filly. Sister to useful 1¼m-11f winner Into The Light. Dam, 1½m-15.4f winner, sister to smart winner up to 1½m (stayed 1¾m) Fireglow. Makes plenty of appeal on paper and top trainer has a strong team of 2-y-os once again.
Gerty Macdowell
Foaled April 17. 45,000 gns foal, 100,000 gns yearling, Ulysses filly. Sister to useful winner up to 1m Karsavina, and half-sister to smart winner up to 8.6f Positive and 2-y-o 6f winner Imperial Ballet. Yard just 1-30 with 2-y-o debutants in 2026.
Golden Chimes
Foaled March 15. Golden Horn filly. Dam unraced out of useful 7f/1m winner Glowing. Yard haven't had a successful 2-y-o newcomer this season (0-13 at time of writing).
High Society
Foaled March 18. €190,000 yearling, Sea The Stars filly. Half-sister to useful 1m winner Hot And Cold. Dam, 1½m winner, half-sister to very smart winner up to 1¼m Glorious Forever. Appealing sort on paper and yard can ready one (had a very promising winning 2-y-o newcomer at Newmarket last week).
Lady Bb (IRE)
Foaled March 6. Baaeed filly. Half-sister to 1¼m winner Sir William. Dam, 1½m winner, half-sister to smart 1m-1¾m winner Raise You. One of 2 appealing newcomers for yard (had successful debutant at Leicester on Monday under this rider).
Playhouse
Foaled March 29. Lope De Vega filly. Half-sister to 3 winners, including 1¼m winner Symbolic Power and 2-y-o 6f winner Game And Set. One of 2 appealing newcomers for stable. Refused to enter stalls and withdrawn intended debut Oct 9.
Port Eleonora
From a good family but was sent off 200/1 and could hardly have shown any less on debut at Southwell 3 weeks ago.
Shabby
Missed the break and always behind on debut at Haydock (1m, 66/1) last month. Bred to need time and distance.
Star Rose (GER)
Well backed (had only another newcomer from her stable ahead of her in the betting) and made a promising start when 4 lengths third of 12 in 1m Salisbury novice 4 weeks ago, staying on and not knocked about. The winner ran an exceptional race in Saturday's Futurity and this one is sure to progress.
