Timeform View

PASSAGE GUENOT has transferred to powerful connections after finishing runner-up on his sole outing in Irish points back in the spring and makes plenty of appeal in what looks a winnable maiden. Kimai is another interesting recruit from the Irish-pointing field, having won on her second start in that sphere and joined a promising yard. Elusive Pb can prove best of the rest.

Timeform Comments

Dontcontradictme (IRE)
Showed ability on the first of 2 bumper starts. Lame on hurdling debut in August 2025 but has been well beaten on both starts back this season.
Elusive Pb
Fair form when third in 2 bumpers. Given a considerate introduction to hurdling when fifth of 14 in maiden at Exeter (17f) in March and again showed some promise when 29 lengths third in 2½m event at Hereford the following month. Sets the standard, albeit not a high one.
Headofthevalley (IRE)
€68,000 Malinas gelding from the family of smart hurdle winner/top-class chaser (stays 4¼m) Minella Indo. Bred to need time and distance and shaped accordingly when third of 7 in 2m Chepstow bumper on debut in early 2025. Off since and market probably best guide ahead of hurdling bow.
Mr Winter (IRE)
Little promise in a pair of bumpers but offered a glimmer more encouragement sent hurdling when sixth of 16 in a maiden at Exeter (17f, soft) in March. Probably one for handicaps later on, though.
Valiant Soldier (IRE)
Soldier of Fortune gelding who shaped with some promise on all 3 bumpers outings last season but will be suited by longer trips in due course.
Akrramm
Showed fair form on 2 of his 4 outings on the Flat at up to 1¼m for Roger Varian, but has been well held on his completed starts over hurdles and looks one for handicaps later on.
Passage Guenot (FR)
€135,000 3-y-o Masked Marvel gelding. Dam once-raced 11.4f winner, out of half-sister to smart 1m/1¼m performer I'm A Dreamer and from family of Deutsches Derby winner All My Dreams. Runner-up sole outing in Irish points in late-March and since transferred to powerful connections.
Fromjago'stomilan (IRE)
Showed promise when runner-up on her only start in bumpers for Terence O'Brien in the spring, but was well switched to hurdling at Chepstow recently and unlikely to be of interest until handicapping.
Kimai (IRE)
Walk In The Park mare. Dam (c123/h131), 2m-21f hurdle/chase winner, sister to useful hurdler/chaser (stayed 25f) Allysson Monterg. Won second of 2 starts in Irish points (Jan 18) and subsequently bought for £95,000. One to note on Rules debut.
Tottie's Moon
Pether's Moon filly who shaped like a stayer in a pair of bumpers and was well held sent hurdling at Worcester just over 3 weeks ago.
