FAIRYE FORTH made an encouraging start to his hurdling career back in the spring and strikes as the type to do even better now sent chasing/handicapping up in trip given his pointing background, so he's an appealing candidate. Mountain Mike remains relatively unexposed over fences and needs considering on his return to action, while Loki's Mischief is worth another chance having shaped as if amiss in a strong-looking race at Worcester last month.

Timeform Comments

Fairye Forth (IRE)
Irish point winner who has made a bright start over hurdles, doing the bare minimum as he landed the odds in 2½m Ffos Las in May. Yard going well and he's an interesting chasing debutant up in trip and handicapping. Engaged 3.15 Newton Abbot Wednesday.
Doctor Kildare (FR)
0-4 over hurdles for Nicky Henderson but different story for new yard last season with visor and tongue tie combination added, winning staying handicaps at Bangor and Hereford. Downed tools at Doncaster but ran much better at Chepstow on final outing. Wears first-time cheekpieces on chasing debut.
Mountain Mike (IRE)
A Ffos Las novice hurdle winner on heavy ground who matched that level of form when 5 lengths second of 4 in a novice handicap at Hereford (25f) in March. Fell early at Sedgefield next time but shaped as if he'd put that behind him at Perth on final outing and remains relatively unexposed.
Muskoka (IRE)
Fair chaser who won at Hereford (25f) in December 2024 and responded well to a visor when second at Ascot/Wincanton last season. However, subsequently let down by his jumping, looking a sitting duck when falling heavily 4 out at Worcester on recent reappearance.
Getaway Vic (IRE)
Irish point winner. Didn't kick on as a hurdler following a good spell in bumpers but left chasing debut form well behind to land a Sedgefield handicap that's worked out well in August. Wasn't in anything like the same form at Hexham 6 weeks later, though.
Loki's Mischief (FR)
Maiden over hurdles but different story over fences, winning a pair of handicaps at up to 3m at Ffos Las in May. Shaped as if amiss pitched into a far deeper race at Worcester last month and worth another chance.
