EQUION took advantage of a career-low mark when scoring on soft ground at Ffos Las in September and, having not been seen to best effect since, he can add to his tally with conditions to suit. Lovely Jubly was successful under testing conditions here last year and is next on the list, ahead of Kaleidoscope Eyes.

Timeform Comments

Kaleidoscope Eyes (IRE)
Proved better than ever when doubling her tally for the year in 10-runner handicap at Ffos Las (heavy) last month, scoring in clear-cut fashion under this rider. Found things tougher at Ascot 5 days later, but she's worth another chance back down in grade.
Rogue Sea
Form went the wrong way for Jennie Candlish in 2025 and, after 2 starts over hurdles in Ireland for Ian Patrick Donoghue, raced too freely when last of 8 in handicap at this course (1¼m) on stable debut 3 weeks ago. Drops back in trip but has enough to prove.
Thiscouldbefun (IRE)
Bounced back to winning ways under an enterprising ride at Salisbury in August and, after a couple of lesser efforts, took a step back in the right direction when fifth of 12 over this C&D a month ago. Task is now to build on latest effort.
Spirit Lead Me (IRE)
Capitalised on a much-reduced mark at Southwell on first outing this month and, from his lower turf mark, followed up over this C&D 10 days ago. Not dismissed lightly in his hat-trick bid, though needs to prove himself on testing ground.
Look Back Smiling (IRE)
Regular slow starter whose losing run continues to mount up, never a threat when sixth of 11 in handicap at Wolverhampton (9.5f) last time. Switches back to cheekpieces having dropped further in the weights, but he isn't the easiest to catch right.
Riyadh Gem (IRE)
Returned to form from a career-low mark when fifth of 10 at Newcastle (1¼m) in March. However, shaped as if amiss when tailed off at Newbury in May and absent since, with the headgear/tongue strap now left off.
Just Queen High (IRE)
Won maiden and handicap (both over 6f on ground softer than good) at Nottingham in 2025 but has gone the wrong way this year, including for current yard on last 4 starts (tried in cheekpieces latest outing).
Man From Havana
Showed fair form at 3 yrs but hasn't offered much in a trio of handicaps this season, faring little better with recent run behind him when down the field at Newmarket a week ago.
Divine Wish
Made the frame at Kempton (7f) on 2 of first 3 starts this year. However, after 4 months off she's run poorly in handicaps over the same C&D the last twice. Cheekpieces reached for as she switches to turf.
Rwenearlytheredad
Turned in best effort of the season when ¾-length second of 11 at Musselburgh (7f) last month. Failed to back that up, though, when sixth of 11 over the same C&D 17 days ago. Cheekpieces on first time/tongue strap refitted as he makes first run since leaving Declan Carroll.
Havana Mojito
All 3 career victories at Brighton. Has finished runner-up 5 times this season, the latest back at Brighton (7f) early this month, and again ran creditably when fourth of 14 over this C&D 10 days ago.
Equion
Goes well on testing ground and returned to winning ways at Ffos Las (soft) last month. Left with too much to do when fifth of 8 at Wolverhampton 8 days later, so he remains of plenty of interest back under his favoured conditions.
Pitney (IRE)
It's now twenty runs since his last success in 2024, but stepped up on his recent run when 4¾ lengths fourth of 14 to Spirit Lead Me in handicap over this C&D 10 days ago. Lurks on a dangerous mark for all that he's been tricky to win with.
Lovely Jubly
Off the mark on heavy ground over C&D a year ago. Has been in good heart in only 3 starts this season, doubling her tally at Kempton and beaten only 2½ lengths when fifth of 11 at the same course last time. Can make her presence felt.
