DISTILLATE is going through a good spell at present, making it back-to-back C&D wins with a clear-cut success 10 days ago, and she looks to hold leading claims without a penalty for that latest victory. The biggest threat could come from Keep Me Stable who has dropped to a career-low mark, ahead of Edmond Halley.

Timeform Comments

Edmond Halley (IRE)
Not the most straightforward but in a change of headgear he finally got off the mark in 11-runner handicap at this course (6f) 5 days ago, despite hanging badly left. Remains on a workable rating under a penalty, so he's got the ability to be thereabouts once more.
Ramon Di Loria (IRE)
Back-to-back winner at Wolverhampton in February and returned to a similar level with 3 consecutive placed efforts on turf this summer. However, has been below form the last twice, racing too freely after 12 weeks off at Musselburgh 17 days ago.
Jenni (IRE)
Often loses ground leaving the stalls and, having first run since leaving Seb Spencer, wasn't disgraced after a particularly slow start when fifth of 11 at Catterick in September. Wasn't in the same form at Thirsk 6 days later, though. Cheekpieces back on as she drops in grade.
Crystal Dagger
Remains a maiden and yet to fire for current yard (previously trained by Ed Walker), in first-time visor when well held at Nottingham at the beginning of the month.
Homme De Fer
Won twice on all-weather at the end of 2025 and has proved largely consistent this year without managing to add to his tally, beaten only ¾ length when fourth of 9 at Wolverhampton 16 days ago.
Keep Me Stable (IRE)
Without a win this season but has shown better signs on her last 2 outings, third of 11 at Musselburgh 17 days ago. Makes first all-weather start of the year from 10 lb below her last winning mark, so enters calculations.
Miss Willows
Went close at Beverley in June but has struggled for form since, tenth of 18 at Redcar 13 days ago. Has enough to prove back on all-weather, yet to win from 5 attempts on an artificial surface.
Distillate
Irish raider who capitalised on her reduced mark when justifying support over C&D on first outing this month and easily followed up in apprentice event here 10 days ago. Escapes a penalty for latest win (actually now 2 lb lower) and is the one to beat.
Al Suil Eile (FR)
Seven-time course winner for Shaun Harris who shaped well on third run for this yard when 2 lengths fifth of 13 here (1m) last month. However, he wasn't in the same form after a slow start when down the field last time. On a handy mark but needs things to drop right.
Brother Dave
All 3 career victories over this C&D, returning from 5 months off when winning a classified event last January. Made the frame next 4 starts, but turned in a below-par effort in handicap here when last seen in April.
Sovereign Class (IRE)
Long-standing maiden whose form has gone the wrong way this year, shaping as if amiss when well held at Hamilton 5 weeks ago.
Joshuas Dream
Down the field in his only 2 starts in 2025 and has fared no better this year, dropped to this grade for the first time when ninth of 13 at Musselburgh (1m) on latest outing in August.
Mister Sky Blue (IRE)
Remains with only a sole success back in spring last year but has made the frame on his last 6 starts, 1¾ lengths fourth of 10 in handicap at Catterick (5f) on latest outing. Races from 1 lb out of the weights here.
