Timeform View

SWITCH FROM DIESEL was below her previous best on her most recent outing at Gowran but time may show she well and truly bumped into one, so she's well worth another chance. Beir Bua has a likeable way of going about things and heads up the opposition, along with Alliteration, who has progressed with each run over hurdles.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

There is a chance of a pace burnout early, and Alliteration is one who could suffer as a result: Such a hotly-contested pace as is on the cards here may be to the benefit of Beir Bua who is likely to make a challenge late.

Timeform Comments

Speisialta (IRE)
Quirky sort who justified support to make it 2 wins from as many starts at Sligo (2¼m soft) last week, unchallenged. Will surely find it harder to dominate this field.
Switch From Diesel (IRE)
Successful 3 times in bumpers and capitalised on the drop in grade to open her hurdles account at Punchestown in May before following up there in June. Not at her best at Gowran 3 months on from a third-place finish on the level but time may show she well and truly bumped into one.
Alliteration (IRE)
Improver last season who was fitted with cheekpieces and a tongue strap when landing 2m Fairyhouse maiden in April. Showed even better form in defeat when second of 5 in listed event at Punchestown later that month and open to further progress.
Ash Hobbs (IRE)
Clear-cut winner sole start in points and bought for £170,000 after. Didn't pull up any trees in bumpers but proved a different proposition sent hurdling in landing a weak affair at Fairyhouse (2m) just under 3 weeks ago. This is obviously much tougher but she's capable of better.
Beir Bua (IRE)
Progressive bumper winner who built on her hurdling debut promise when winning 2¼m maiden at Sligo in May, cruising clear despite an untidy leap at the last. Ran at least as well when collared near the finish in a 4-runner event at Listowel last month and the third has franked that form since.
Brosna Queen (IRE)
Fair bumper winner who got off the mark over hurdles with an improved display in Downpatrick novice (19f) in June, travelling smoothly and asserting quickly. Shaped much better than the bare results suggests switched to a handicap at Listowel since and may not yet have reached her limit.
Fastnet Crystal (IRE)
Runner-up on first of 2 starts in bumpers and, fitted with tongue strap after 6 months off, was a decisive winner on hurdling debut at Downpatrick in July. Much improved form when second in listed novice Galway next time but failed to repeat that effort at Bellewstown since.
Salsinha (FR)
An impressive winner of her sole outing in bumpers and made the most of a good opportunity when opening her hurdles account in a first-time tongue strap in 2m maiden at Listowel in June. Left her race in the stalls on her Flat debut later that month but not taken lightly now returning to hurdling.
Torpille Dagrostis (FR)
Runner-up twice from 4 outings in bumpers and found only one too good on her first 2 starts in maiden hurdles before landing the odds at Leopardstown (21f) in March. Turned in a lacklustre display at Haydock on final outing but it's possible a long season was catching up with her at that point.
