BIG GOSSEY ran well on his last visit here and has recorded a couple of victories in better company since. He gets the nod. Mehman and Bear On The Run rate the principal dangers.

Timeform Comments

Big Gossey (IRE)
Curragh specialist who has added 2 more listed wins there this year. Posted good second (off 2 lb higher) in handicap when last seen on this surface in December and could be a player here.
Bear On The Run (IRE)
Shrugged off a 12-month absence to double her tally in 6f handicap at the Curragh in August. Below that level since but wasn't seen to best effect over longer trip here latest and remains with few miles on the clock.
Thunderbear (IRE)
Solid efforts in handicap company last month but underlined his inconsistency when well beaten in listed race (9/2) at Naas since. Others more convincing.
Chicago Call (IRE)
Useful as a juvenile and bounced back to best form when good fourth of 8 in minor event at this course (5f) 28 days ago, never nearer. Respected.
Frescobaldi (IRE)
Won Convivial maiden at York (7f) last summer for Aidan O'Brien but has rather lost his way for current yard. Now tried in blinkers for first time.
City House (IRE)
Remains with just the sole success but has at least run some good races in defeat this year, whilst gradually dropping in the weights. Drop back in trip not sure to suit, however. Visor on first time.
Eddie G (IRE)
Dual 7f handicap scorer at Naas and Galway in July and ran his best race since when close second in handicap at the Curragh (7f, good to soft, 11/1) last month. Drops back in trip here and can't be ruled out.
All The Girls (IRE)
Winless this season but posted an excellent second over C&D in August and ran to similar level when fourth at this course earlier this month. Below par at the Curragh since but better expected back here. Tongue strap on first time.
Mehman
Dropped down the weights and ended lengthy losing run when taking 14-runner handicap at this course (7f) 7 days ago. Raised 9 lb since but must be of interest.
