Timeform View

MIDNIGHT BELLA left her previous efforts over hurdles well behind when runner-up on her handicap debut at Newcastle in March and, with that form having proven strong, she's taken to go one better on her return to action, especially with her yard beginning to hit stride. Bright Legend, Noonetellsmenothin and Robber's Bridge complete the shortlist.

Timeform Comments

Robber's Bridge (IRE)
Better than ever when comfortable winner at Exeter (2¾m) in January. Shaped as if amiss at Newbury but wasted no time getting back on track when fifth of 8 at aforementioned track in March. Capable fresh and not dismissed back down in grade on reappearance.
Noonetellsmenothin (IRE)
Placed in a couple of bumpers and benefited from step up in trip when landing a Catterick novice (19f) on hurdles debut in December. Matched rather than built on that in handicaps since, running respectably after 6 months off when third of 7 in 2½m event here 16 days ago. Respected.
Bright Legend (IRE)
Off the mark in a Sedgefield maiden in April. More miss than hit since but fared better than of late in a reapplied tongue strap when third of 12 in 3m handicap at Chepstow (soft) 19 days ago. Must enter calculations with Cobden taking over from 7-lb claimer.
Romany Brown (IRE)
Off the mark in a Killarney maiden hurdle (17f) on final outing for previous connections. Hasn't reached anywhere near those heights since joining current yard though, struggling to get competitive in a steadily-run handicap at Worcester on most recent outing. Tongue strap on for first time.
October Hill (IRE)
Opened her account at Ffos Las in May and returned to form when second at Worcester (2½m) on most recent outing, albeit no match for a less-exposed Skelton improver. Should remain competitive from same mark. NON RUNNER.
Colonel Jack
Showed his first form after pulling up on his first 2 starts when fourth of 13 in maiden hurdle at Hexham (2½m, heavy) in March. Tongue strap added for handicap debut/reappearance and longer trip likely to suit but it's worth noting his stable is quiet.
Dramatic License (IRE)
Won a maiden hurdle in Ireland for Stuart Crawford last summer but has shown nothing in a trio of starts for his new yard. Easily passed over.
Stylish Recruit (IRE)
Forward-going type who saw off 3 next-time-out winners when registering win number 3 at Hexham (23f) in late-June. Shaped as if needing the run there 3 months on but his yard still appears to be finding its feet for the season.
Midnight Bella
Showed ability in bumpers and left her previous efforts over hurdles well behind switched to a handicap when second of 12 in 2½m at Newcastle in March, collared final 50 yds. That form has worked out well and she's of interest returning from a 3 lb higher mark. Has had a breathing operation.
Giveupyerauldsins (IRE)
Novice hurdle winner at Newcastle in December 2024 but that was a weak race and she went backwards from her chasing debut when well beaten at Uttoxeter (3m) in May 2025, looking less than straightforward. Off since.
Helsgetaway (IRE)
Maiden who looked rusty after 4 months off when fifth of 8 in handicap hurdle at Kelso (21f, good to firm) 26 days ago, barely adequate test. Eased 2 lb and this at least represents a return to further.
Fairly Fulling (IRE)
Belatedly off the mark in a 15-runner handicap at Newcastle (2½m) in March and added to his tally when seeing off 9 rivals over 2½m at Perth in July. Raised 6 lb and failed to get home back up in trip there 6 weeks later, though.
Glory Hights
Remains with just one win to his name and turned in a rare poor effort at Newcastle when last seen in March, though does have each-way claims on the pick of his form if bouncing back on this return to action.
Magic Gloves (IRE)
Ran better than for a while stepped up in trip when second over 3m at Perth in August but merely underlined inconsistency when below-par fifth of 12 in a similar event there the following month.
Lillistar
Is still to win over hurdles but again ran creditably when third of 8 in 2½m handicap at Sedgefield (2½m, good) 31 days ago. Reunited with handy 5-lb claimer and could go well once more from 1 lb out of the weights.
