Timeform View

FENLANDER has proved better than ever with recent wins over C&D and at Leicester and he could be up to defying a double penalty in his current form. Marching Mac landed this race back in 2024 and is feared most as he also bids for a quick-fire hat-trick, ahead of Azuinthejungle who wasn't seen to best effect last time.

Timeform Comments

Marching Mac (IRE)
Goes well on ground softer than good with all 3 wins this season coming under such conditions. Doubled his tally for the campaign at Yarmouth (5f) last week, before travelling strongly when making all at Catterick (6f) 3 days ago. Can make another bold bid under double penalty.
Seven Questions (IRE)
Returned to winning ways in handicap at Goodwood in May but has struggled for form since, eighth of 11 at Leicester on his latest outing.
Fiorella Princess (IRE)
Having left Charlie Wallis, made second start for this trainer a winning one with an emphatic success at Yarmouth in September. Has found things tougher in 2 starts since, though, fifth of 8 back at Yarmouth 10 days ago. 7 lb claimer now on board.
Diomed Duke
Successful on turf at Lingfield in July and better than ever when also scoring on all-weather there in September. Soon left behind a lesser effort when length third of 8 to Marching Mac at Yarmouth 10 days ago, despite failing to settle.
Azuinthejungle
Made it 4 wins from 5 starts when scoring with a bit in hand at Newcastle in September. Shaped as if still in good form when sixth of 12 at Musselburgh last time, the blindfold removed late, and he enters calculations.
Rock Of England (IRE)
Reliable sort who has won 4 times this season, the latest at Ripon in August. Has continued in good heart with placed efforts the last twice, beaten only by an improver at Pontefract 11 days ago.
Fenlander
Completed a 6f hat-trick in early summer for Pam Sly. Making fourth start for current yard, was suited by the drop back to 5f when also scoring over C&D last week and followed up at Leicester 4 days ago. Carries double penalty but he's thriving at present.
Al Hussar
Gained reward for a consistent start to the season when winning at Thirsk in May. Has had excuses a couple of times since, left poorly placed on penultimate start before a creditable second at Haydock 2 weeks ago. Can give his running from 2 lb below last winning mark.
Never Just A Dream (IRE)
All 4 wins on all-weather for Ismail Mohammed. However, he made more impact than previously for this stable when third at Haydock (6f) last month and wasn't disgraced when fourth of 11 at Doncaster 7 days ago. Lurks on a dangerous mark with tongue strap now back on.
Good Earth (IRE)
Went without a win in 2025 but scored 3 times over 6f early this year. In first-time cheekpieces, added to his tally at Sandown (5f) last month, but wasn't in the same form when fifth of 13 at Yarmouth 18 days ago.
Vingegaard (IRE)
Reverted to more positive tactics when gaining a first handicap success at Thirsk (6f) in June. Left Julie Camacho after next outing and shaped well back down in trip on first 2 starts for this yard, before left poorly placed at Haydock 2 weeks ago. Switches back to blinkers.
Roach Power (IRE)
Won 5 times last year, including this same race, but hasn't fired this season. Wasn't seen to best effect when fifth of 8 at Hamilton last time, racing closer to the pace than ideal, though still needs return to this venue to help spark a revival.
Carefree Dream
Without a win this season but runner-up twice at Goodwood in June. Returned to form when third at Bath on first outing this month, before meeting trouble early when sixth of 8 at the same course 11 days ago. More needed with cheekpieces on first time.
