ENNOBLE went very close in a novice here recently and is much less exposed than most of these so could make a winning start to life in handicaps. Both Storm Esme and Brave Traveller have C&D wins to their names and look good each-way options.

Won at this course over 7f on his all-weather debut at the start of this month but not in same form at Southwell last time, hanging and looking a hard ride. Now drops down in trip and needs to bounce back.
Ennoble (IRE)
Ex-Irish colt who has gone the right way on all-weather for current stable, including when short-head second of 6 in novice here over 5f 14 days ago. One to take seriously back up to 6f for handicap debut.
Believeinmenow (IRE)
Good run when second of 14 to Storm Esme over C&D in September when not clear run under 2f out, but only fourth of 5 at Southwell without hood over 5f last time. Lightly raced at 6f and headgear now reapplied so could take a hand.
Brave Traveller
Won over C&D last December and has run well several times here since, including when second of 12 in July. Excused his flop on turf in August and could do better back on all-weather if ready to go after 83 days off.
Storm Esme
Clear best effort this year when winning over C&D in September, beating Believeinmenow. Only eighth of 10 at Southwell earlier this month but returns to a venue where she's won both outings so could well get back on track.
Tactical Blitz
Off the mark over C&D in March but not kicked on since and was only sixth of 14 in first-time blinkers in a handicap over 7f here 10 days ago. Now drops back in trip.
Try Storm Cat (IRE)
Gone the wrong way since finishing runner-up on all-weather at Kempton on reappearance. Off 4 months prior to finishing down the field at Leicester last time so needs to strip a lot fitter for that effort back on all-weather.
Rousham
Tricky sort who hasn't kicked on from breaking his duck at Redcar in May. Did come third of 10 over 7f here 29 days ago but not so good next time and now drops to 6f.
Liquid Cooled (IRE)
C&D winner who also ran respectably when third of 7 here in September, doing best work late. Unsuited by drop to 5f last time and not one to write off back up to 6f even though he's just out of the handicap.
