KOKTAIL DIVIN is selected to make light of a Grade 1 penalty and deny Gordon Elliott a fifth successive win in this Grade 2 contest. Jack Kennedy seemingly prefers Jacob's Ladder to Kala Conti from the Elliott pair and that 7-y-o might be the one to give Henry de Bromhead's charge most to think about.

Timeform Comments

Koktail Divin (FR)
Smart novice chaser last season, culminating with a win in Grade 1 Manifesto at Aintree (2½m, good to soft) in April. Likely this 6-y-o has even more to offer this season. The one to beat.
Jacob's Ladder (IRE)
Much improved since fitted with cheekpieces, recording his third win over fences in Grade 3 novice at Navan. Below par when remote third in Punchestown Grade 1 on final start but the type to bounce back on return.
Kala Conti (FR)
Made bright start over fences when winning first 2 races, including Grade 2 mares novice at Cork in December. Likely to have been involved in the finish but for falling 3 out in Grade 1 Maghull at Aintree when last seen in the spring. Unlikely to be far away but Jack Kennedy is on Jacob's Ladder.
Mic Drop (IRE)
Has had a good first half of the season in handicap chases, winning twice and placed on 3 other occasions. Looks to be biting off more than he can chew here, though.
Break My Soul (IRE)
Useful novice chaser last season. Cheekpieces on first time (off now), bit below par when 11 lengths second in listed mares hurdle when last seen in May. Can be competitive if close to her best back from break.
Stretchemout (IRE)
Modest chase winner for Gordon Elliott but well held in handicap hurdle/chase for new yard over the summer and out of her depth here.
Herja (IRE)
Fair chaser who came good over fences in 2-runner maiden at Sligo last month but this is significantly harder.
