It could be worth chancing HAMMER THE HAMMER, who often keeps much better company and the return to all-weather may rekindle him. This does look competitive, though, with Bolo Neighs and Kind Touch heading the dangers.

Timeform Comments

Atomic Force (IRE)
Useful form when winning back-to-back on all-weather early this year and was somewhat unlucky not to score at Chester in June. Looked rusty in the Portland after 3 months off 7 weeks ago and better expected now.
Hammer The Hammer (IRE)
A 3-time 5f/6f winner in 2025. Yet to fire this year but this represents a marked drop in class and he took well to this surface early on in his career.
Desert Falcon (IRE)
Enjoyed a fine 2025, scoring twice before a neck second in Ayr Gold Cup. Has failed to hit those heights this year after a couple of breathing operations, however, down the field in the Ayr Silver Cup 6 weeks ago.
Caballo Grande
Promise on turf debut before wide-margin all-weather wins at Southwell and Wolverhampton 5 months apart. Didn't look straightforward when down the field in a couple of turf handicaps in the spring and has been off since, but drop back to sprinting could suit and has been subsequently gelded.
Indian Run (IRE)
Won at Thirsk in July to end a long losing run and placed in slightly better races than this all 3 starts since. Makes a belated first start on all-weather.
Bolo Neighs (IRE)
In good form at Ascot this season, winning there off this mark in May before solid third in July. Shaped well back on all-weather and in a change of headgear (blinkers) when beaten under a length at Kempton last time, left poorly placed having been dropped out from a wide draw.
Another Abbot (IRE)
Has taken form to another level this year, scoring at Yarmouth and Windsor. Good second at Yarmouth last month before turning in one of his occasional poor efforts at Ascot. Type to bounce back.
The Caltonian
Much better horse on all-weather and he won off a similar mark at Newcastle in January. Holding his form well on turf this summer until unsuited by conditions latest.
So Darn Hot
Four-time winner for this yard before a winless spell with Ed Walker. Potentially well treated back with this stable so bounce back wouldn't surprise.
Kind Touch (IRE)
Debut winner at Ripon last summer. Hasn't tasted success since but he's threatening to come good soon, going close for the third start in a row at Wolverhampton on all-weather debut 12 days ago.
Purosangue
Smart performer at best for Andrew Balding. Initially showed some promise for current yard this year though has struggled more recently.
Starmade (IRE)
Both wins at Newcastle, including second handicap start in May. Caught the eye when fifth of 27 in Palace of Holyroodhouse at Royal Ascot next time but his development has stalled since. Returns to all-weather after a break having had a gelding operation.
Evening Blues (IRE)
Suited by the drop back to sprinting when second off this mark at York this summer. Very disappointing since but no surprise if he bounces back starting out for a stable that is having an excellent season.
Novello Lad
Has gone off the boil since completing a Doncaster double in June and has been kept away from all-weather for most of his career.
