Timeform View

Unexposed 5-y-o TRUSTINTIMES looks to have plenty in his favour and is fancied to make it 2-2 over C&D. The dangers are headed by Hamlet's Night, who's weighted to go close under a good-value claimer. Interesting stable-switcher Messerschmitt, Fasol and Moveit Like Minnie are others to consider.

Timeform Comments

Williethebuilder (IRE)
Rare horse to improve since leaving Dan Skelton. Useful winner of back-to-back 2m Kempton handicaps for present yard last winter. Sights lowered when making an impressive winning reappearance at Sedgefield latest (again under this good-value claimer). Now back up in grade off a career-high mark.
Indemnity (IRE)
Solid second to Alexei in this corresponding event 12 months ago. Now much higher in the weights following Sussex Champion Hurdle success/cracking second in the Summer Hurdle, and he wasn't nearly as potent on return to Market Rasen last month (easily forgiven last week's Flat run).
Gibbs Island
Ended last season with a highly encouraging seventh in the County, prior to doing all he could from another poor position in the Swinton. Easy to back when well-held seventh on comeback in the Welsh Champion Hurdle, a tad disappointing given he'd won on return at the same fixture 12 months prior.
Messerschmitt (IRE)
Finished fourth in last year's Imperial Cup. Back to his best when 5¾-length third in a listed handicap at Punchestown on final start for Noel Meade in April. Since joined a very capable new yard for £100,000. Has some top-end handicap form and entitled to go well in refitted tongue strap.
Hamlet's Night (IRE)
Seen to best effect when runner-up in Grade 2 Elite last year. Better off with a few of these on April's Sussex Champion Hurdle form and positive signs in the face of a stiff task when 7 lengths behind Wilful in a Carlisle listed race latest. Needs a close look with talented 5-lb conditional on.
Morning Mayhem
Another success story for up-and-coming yard (won 5 times). Continued his relentless progress when runner-up in pair of very competitive handicaps, latterly in Welsh Champion Hurdle at Chepstow. Still in good heart when beaten 7¼ lengths off this career high mark at Cheltenham (2½m) latest.
Trustintimes
Beat a useful, subsequent winner to land a 4-timer on handicap bow over C&D in November. The form of his subsequent second to Williethebuilder reads well, too, and he's probably needed the run on a couple of subsequent starts (promising fourth on Flat debut recently). Interesting back hurdling.
Rightsotom (GER)
Fairly useful handicap hurdler in 2024/5. Ran to a similar level as a novice chaser, pulled up soon after a bad mistake final start last season. First-time blinkers added following a lacklustre reappearance in the Silver Trophy and may still need this ahead of a potential return to fences.
Nap Hand (IRE)
Useful Flat performer. Successful 2 of his 4 hurdle starts since joining present yard, though again had a favourable set-up when winning a small-field event at Plumpton last time. Now on a career-high mark and could be worth taking on in a much deeper event.
Moveit Like Minnie (IRE)
Fine third behind Alexei in 2025 renewal of this race. Deservedly opened his account for the season in Class 3 event at Wincanton in March. Again ran well on reappearance when chasing home an impressive stable-switcher at Hexham (2m) latest. Should give his running off 1 lb higher than last year.
Fasol
Consistent sort who completed a double at Musselburgh on New Year's Day. Typically ran with credit when 6¾-length fourth behind Indemnity in Sussex Champion Hurdle. Now much better off at the weights, and he appeals in a change of headgear following an encouraging return at Chepstow.
Brendas Asking (IRE)
Proved at least as good as ever on second start back from an absence, finding plenty to win a well-run handicap at Warwick (2m) in May (all 3 wins coming under 7-lb/10-lb claimers). Needs more again to follow up in a much stronger event, for all she has a fair record when fresh.
Zillow
Lost his way for the Willie Mullins yard after completing a cross-code hat-trick in listed handicap hurdle at Fairyhouse in November. Now 8 lb below that winning mark, having shown little sign of a revival in 4 starts for current yard.
Parchment (FR)
Beat a now-fairly useful type when successful in newcomers race in France last summer. Well below that level in 2 starts 5 months apart (had breathing operation in the interim) for present yard last season. Faces a very different test in a competitive, big-field event on handicap bow/return.
Emerald Time
Smooth-travelling type who has learned to relax with racing. Resumed progress when making it 3 wins in 5 starts in novice handicap at Stratford (19f). Tougher ask from 3 lb out of the weights up in class, but he's clearly going the right way, and a bigger field will suit his style.
Gower Prince
Gamely capitalised on a lower hurdles mark at the second attempt at Chepstow (2m, soft) earlier this month. Proving more consistent since joining present yard (2 wins and 4 seconds from 6 chase/hurdle starts). More on his plate from 6 lb out of the handicap, even with good-value claimer aboard.
