WOLFBURG was in fine form when last seen in the spring and is taken to return in style and complete a hat-trick here. Halftheworldaway rates an interesting prospect now going chasing and could prove the main danger ahead of Tommy Combats and Moon Phases.

Timeform Comments

Wolfburg (IRE)
Good record over fences in this headgear combination, adding to a Go North series final win at Carlisle (2½m) when shading a tight finish at Kelso (23.5f, good) this spring. Off 6 months but remains capable of better and a likely player.
Great Pepper (FR)
Unreliable individual and still to win over fences, a below-par fifth of 7 in handicap chase at Perth (2½m, good to soft) 6 months ago. Others are preferred.
Halftheworldaway (IRE)
Runner-up sole start in Irish points. Ended last season on the up over hurdles with a pair of 2m wins in novice company at Bangor. Off 7 months but needs considering now starting out over fences.
Cavalier Du Luy (IRE)
Irish point winner who landed the odds in 2m maiden hurdle at Kelso in December. Not disgraced when fifth of 8 in novice here (2m, heavy) following month. Returns for his chase debut after a breathing operation and can't be dismissed.
Moon Phases (IRE)
Low-mileage 7-y-o who confirmed chase debut promise with professional success at Newcastle. Pulled up in handicap chase at Kelso (2¾m, good to soft) in March on final run but no surprise to see him bounce back.
One More Stroke (IRE)
Got off the mark over fences at Musselburgh in February 2025. Off since posting a respectable fifth of 9 in handicap chase at Newcastle (2½m, good to soft) 10 months ago on final run for Donald McCain. Has since had a breathing operation.
My Kiwi Girl (IRE)
Irish point winner who added to that over hurdles when bagging 2m maiden here last March. Pulled up on chasing debut here and came in last of 5 in 2m Carlisle handicap chase after a breathing operation only run since. Lots to prove after 11 months off.
Tommy Combats (IRE)
Likeable chaser who doubled his tally at Ayr (2m) in January. Ended last season with an excellent second to Wolfburg in handicap chase at Carlisle (2½m, good) in March. Very much one to consider.
Rock On Jet (IRE)
A fair winning 2m hurdler. Yet to match that form in this sphere, a well-held fourth of 11 in handicap chase at Hexham (2m) in April. Goes up in trip for his return.
Monochromix (FR)
Remains a maiden after 19 runs. Off since a fair fourth of 7 in handicap chase at Wetherby (3m, soft) 11 months ago so has his fitness to prove.
