SPACE PARTY has made a good start in handicaps and can back up a positive effort at C&D last week to get off the mark. Almarada Prince can go well on the back of his Pontefract win, whilst Underwriter wasn't seen to best effect last time and still lurks on a handy mark.

Timeform Comments

Almarada Prince (IRE)
Well backed and ended long losing run in 12-runner event at Pontefract (6f, good) earlier in the month, not having to step up by much, if at all, on this year's efforts. Nudged back up 2 lb and should remain competitive.
Sixtygeesbaby (IRE)
Won well at Carlisle from a tumbling mark in August. Disappointing on his next 2 starts but was back to form when third of 14 in handicap at Redcar (6f, good to firm, 15/2) 46 days ago. Still not the most predictable, though.
Star Material (IRE)
Temperamental sort but he returned to form when second of 12 in handicap (33/1) at Doncaster (6f, heavy) 8 days ago, despite not getting the clearest of runs. Far from a certainty to back that up, though.
Caragio (IRE)
Successful at Yarmouth (6f) on second start for this yard in April. Didn't immediate kick on from that but is now right back on the up since being fitted with eyeshields, scoring at Kempton for the second time this month over 6f 10 days ago. Softer ground is a bit of an unknown.
From The Hip
Won at Windsor in June and resumed his progress when runner-up at Kempton early in the month. Overall profile is patchy and he followed that up with a lesser effort at Goodwood 3 weeks ago.
Space Party (IRE)
Son of Space Blues who has been placed on all 5 outings, again emerging with credit when third of 12 in handicap at this C&D (good to soft) 9 days ago. Likely to be in the mix again.
Underwriter (FR)
Won maiden/novice events over 6f at Ayr for Archie Watson last summer. Bounced back to form on second run for new yard with Ascot fourth in July. Had little luck in the run when ninth of 15 in handicap at Goodwood (6f, good to firm) 38 days ago. On a handy mark now sporting a first-time visor.
Madman
C&D winner for Tom Ward in January. On the up for his current yard and gained a third success of the summer in 12-runner handicap at Salisbury (6f, soft) in September. Seemed to struggle from this 5 lb higher mark at Kempton last time, though.
Izzy Fast
Lightly-raced filly who was a surprise winner of a 6f Yarmouth maiden in April. Doubled her career tally when winning 13-runner handicap (11/1) at that same C&D 19 days ago and she should remain competitive after 5 lb rise.
Bay Breeze
Goes well on soft ground and bagged a pair of 6f handicaps at Hamilton last month. Below that level when seventh of 18 in handicap at Leicester (6f, good) 18 days ago and this is better company than he usually keeps.
