Timeform View

Aidan O'Brien can strengthen his grip on the trainers' championship courtesy of BENGAL TIGER, who impressed in listed company at Doncaster last weekend. Lex Victoria and Jassas were both beaten only 4½ lengths in Group 1s here earlier in the month and rate the chief form threats in a Group 3 containing several likely improvers.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Bengal Tiger traded at a high of 2.12 and Betfair SP of 2.14 when winning last time, a race in which it raced prominently.

Timeform Comments

Accumulation (IRE)
Won 12-runner maiden (5/2) at Leopardstown (7f, good) on debut 14 days ago, driven clear. Bengal Tiger has to be considered his top yard's first string but this son of Wootton Bassett has the potential for plenty of improvement.
Bengal Tiger (IRE)
Highly progressive sort who impressed when pulling 3½ lengths clear in 6f Doncaster listed race (heavy) last Saturday. Likely to stay 7f and the one to beat with further progress likely.
City Of Gold
Runner-up twice in maidens prior to producing a useful effort to make a successful nursery debut at Leopardstown (8.5f, good) 14 days ago. Won't need to advance his form much more to be very competitive at this level.
Flying Pirate (IRE)
Useful effort when making it 2 from 3 in novices with a wide-margin defeat of 6 rivals over 7f at Haydock (good to soft) in first-time cheekpieces last month. Creditable fourth of 9 in useful conditions race at Newbury (1m, good to firm) since. Talented but not entirely straightforward.
Golden Souk (IRE)
11/8, won 7-runner novice at Redcar (7f, good to soft) on debut 38 days ago. That form is nothing special but interesting that powerful stable is prepared to pitch him in a Group race second time up.
Green Sovereign
Scored easily in a 6f Pontefract maiden in May but his limitations have seemingly been exposed at listed/Group level since.
Jassas
Dubawi colt who has won 7f novices at Doncaster (good to firm) and Haydock (soft). Only beaten 4½ lengths when last of 5 to Darkness Falls in Dewhurst over C&D (good to firm) a fortnight ago so that was a very useful effort. Bang there with a repeat of that form.
Kicking Bear (FR)
Sioux Nation colt who built on a promising Newbury debut with a defeat of a useful sort in a small-field C&D maiden (good to firm) 4 weeks ago. Definitely more to come.
Mezzo Forte (IRE)
Wootton Bassett colt who left debut behind to win a 7f York maiden 10 weeks later. Took another step forward when 1¾ lengths third of 8 to Fuel The Jet in Group 3 Somerville Tattersall over C&D (good to firm) since. Open to further improvement.
Midgham Man
Progressive type who produced a useful performance to blow apart a C&D nursery (good to firm) 3 weeks ago. Well worth his place in this higher grade on the back of that.
Nakila Sun (GER)
1m Windsor novice winner on good to firm who took a considerable step forward to follow up in a valuable contest at York (7f, soft) 22 days ago. Likely to progress again.
San Jose (IRE)
Confirmed Newbury debut promise when a ready winner of a 7f Ascot maiden (good) 8 weeks ago. Useful prospect.
Theheatison
Novice winner at Bath in July. Better form in defeat but his limit is seemingly well established and it's unlikely he'll be up to the task here.
Twelve Bars (IRE)
Promising Space Blues colt who was second on his C&D debut before going one better at Kempton (7f again) 12 days later. Yet another in this line-up who has his best days ahead of him.
Lex Victoria (IRE)
Seven-figure Breeze Up purchase who won newcomers race on July Course here and novice at Kempton (both 7f) on her first 2 outings. Good 4½ lengths fourth to Musical Times in Fillies' Mile here (good to firm) 3 weeks ago, despite not looking entirely at ease on the course (hung). Capable of better.
