Timeform View

BANKATARY proved too keen on his recent hurdling bow at Plumpton but has some fair Flat/winning bumper form to his name and the fitting of a first-time hood could prove very beneficial for this headstrong sort. Jamie Snowden's Irish recruit Code Name Cubitt returns from an absence but could still emerge as the main danger, although Charlie Fellowes' fairly useful Flat scorer Lightning Tiger brings some potential to this sphere.

Timeform Comments

Bankatary (FR)
Made a winning debut in a Huntingdon bumper and has since shown fair form without scoring on the Flat this summer. Went too freely on his hurdling debut when a well-held fourth of 5 in novice at Plumpton (2m, good) 13 days ago. Could take a big step forward though now fitted with a hood.
Code Name Cubitt (IRE)
Jet Away gelding. Built on debut with third of 12 in juvenile hurdle at Cork (17f, soft) 11 months ago on final run for Gavin Cromwell. Since changed hands for £100,000 and must enter calculations for new yard.
Lightning Tiger (IRE)
Fairly useful sort who got back on the up on the Flat with victory in handicap at Haydock (11.6f, heavy) in September. Not without interest now going hurdling.
Mio Amico
A dual winner on all-weather but he finished well held in a pair of 2m maiden hurdles at Market Rasen last month. Lots to prove.
North Gale (IRE)
€30,000 3-y-o, Galileo Chrome gelding. Dam fair 2m hurdle winner. Made the frame on 2 of his 3 starts in Irish points in the spring. One to consider for good yard starting out in this sphere.
Sir Edward Lear
Fair Flat winner (stays 1½m) but he has yet to offer much on both his runs over hurdles, coming in a well-held sixth of 8 in novice hurdle at Market Rasen (17f, good to soft) 15 days ago. In very good hands so could still do better.
Tenadaay
Fair Flat winner for current yard and he also posted a good second of 7 in handicap at Wolverhampton (1½m) in September. More is needed now back hurdling though after a remote seventh at Kempton (2m) last Christmas.
Trafalger
Fair sprint maiden on the Flat but only twelfth of 15 in handicap at Nottingham (6f, good) last month. Hooded/tongue tied for his hurdling debut with his stamina to prove.
T R Five
Offered little in a Warwick bumper on New Year's Day and first run over hurdles in novice at Hereford (2½m, good to soft) was equally low-key. Has since had a breathing operation.
Trojan Truth
A modest Flat winner in 2025 but a below-par sixth of 10 in handicap at Wolverhampton (1¾m) in September when very slowly away. Makes his belated hurdling debut here.
