QUICK OF THE NIGHT returned to winning ways in good style at Market Rasen last time and, from what remains a handy mark, she is taken to follow up. Camshaft had been going the right way prior to her latest outing, so could bounce back returning with her yard going well. Simiyann completes the shortlist.

Timeform Comments

Camshaft (IRE)
Much improved sent handicapping in cheekpieces, following up her Ffos Las win (2½m) with an all-the-way success at Bangor (23f) in May. Good effort in defeat when third at Uttoxeter in July, before shaping as if amiss at Fontwell the following month. Worth another chance after a break.
Check The Score (IRE)
Point/bumper winner who made a winning handicap/chase debut fitted with cheekpieces at Market Rasen (3m) last season. After 12 months off, encouraging return when runner-up in handicap hurdle at Southwell in February, but was well beaten back over fences when last seen in March.
Alan Bresil
Switched to blinkers from his falling mark, ran better than of late when third of 8 in handicap at Hereford (3¼m) 6 days ago, though not for the first time got outpaced before staying on again. More required if he's to gain a breakthrough success.
Matoury
All 3 career victories at Market Rasen, recording back-to-back 23f wins this summer. However, has been below form the last twice, including back over the same C&D on latest outing 5 weeks ago.
Charlie My Boy (IRE)
Winner at this course (21f) last spring and ran creditably after 8 months off when second here in May. After a couple of lesser efforts, fared better returned to this track (2½m) when third of 7 in October. Task is now to back up latest effort over this longer trip.
Quick Of The Night
Up in trip and refitted with cheekpieces, capitalised on a falling mark with a ready success in 8-runner mares handicap at Market Rasen (23f) last time. Major player with the potential for more still to offer as a stayer.
Simiyann (IRE)
Fair stayer at best on the Flat for Ian Williams. Not at that level this year, including on stable debut, but showed his first form over hurdles when never-nearer third of 8 in handicap at Market Rasen (23f) 15 days ago. Could be in the mix if building on latest effort.
Captain Connor (FR)
Remains a maiden but has made the frame several times this season, the latest when 1¼ lengths third of 6 in handicap at Southwell (3m) on penultimate start. Tried in a hood (now discarded), faced a stiff task back in a novice when tailed off at Cheltenham 8 days ago.
