Timeform View

Dan Skelton is really starting to get rolling and his DOYEN QUEST is fancied to make a winning return to action and cement what was a solid first season over the larger obstacles. Potters Charm was made to work hard to justify prohibitive odds on his recent return/chasing debut, but he shades the vote for the forecast spot with improvement on the cards.

Very Weak

Timeform Comments

Doyen Quest (IRE)
Useful hurdler who quickly developed into a smart chaser last season, completing a solid campaign with a third win from 8 starts in 5-runner Oaksey Chase at Sandown (23f, good to firm) back in April. Has a good record back from a break so folly to ignore for his all-conquering yard.
Wendigo (FR)
Surpassed his hurdles form over fences last season, winning novices at Newbury (2½m, Grade 2) in November and Ayr (3m, heavy) in January. Good third to Kitzbuhel in Kauto Star at Kempton in between but failed to give his running at Aintree when last seen in April. Drops back in trip.
Potters Charm (IRE)
Grade 1 novice winner over hurdles who showed smart form last season, landing the odds in a Fontwell Grade 2 (19f) in February. Made to work to justify very short odds on return/chasing debut at Worcester just under 3 weeks ago (had another breathing operation prior) but likely to improve.
