Timeform View

GAZELLE D'OR is very well weighted these days and with the expectation of this being a good test by 5f standards, she could be the answer. Stag Night arrives at the very top of his game so he's an obvious threat, with Gerrit's Gem also of some interest.

Timeform Comments

Stag Night (IRE)
Potent force when the mud is flying, just about better than ever when repeating his Navan win 3 weeks ago, cosily seeing off Gerrit's Gem. 7 lb rise asks a big question but he's clearly in excellent order.
Staysound Susie (IRE)
Added to fine record on heavy ground when landing a 6f handicap here in April. Has often come good in the autumn (won this last year) but mark now looks high having performed with credit in listed company.
The Highway Rat (IRE)
Isn't the easiest to win with but took a step back in the right direction when fifth over C&D in September. Matched that when third in Dundalk minor event and back over 5f now having failed to see out 6f 17 days ago.
Gazelle D'or (IRE)
Useful at her best but strike rate has taken a hit in recent times. Sights lowered when a keeping-on third at Navan 11 days ago and she lurks on a very dangerous mark with a well-run race likely here.
She's Too Kool (IRE)
Off the mark in a 4-runner novice over 7f at Chester in September but looked just averagely treated in handicaps since.
Smoke Them Out (IRE)
Course winner who justified support from a slipping mark at Bellewstown (5f) in September. Confirmed he's in excellent heart with a pair of placed efforts since over 6f so he's considered.
Magical Vision (IRE)
Hasn't stood much racing in recent seasons but has proved she retains ability when fourth in big-field handicaps at Naas and the Curragh in March. Out of her depth in listed company the following month and off since.
Buddy Batt (IRE)
Won at Dundalk on final 2 starts last year and also scored at the same course in March. In a bit of a lull after but dropped a long way in the weights and much more like it when second of 17 over C&D 17 days ago.
Gerrit's Gem (IRE)
Started the season too high in the weights but mark has come down plenty and has shaped well on a few occasions, arriving on the back of a pair of placed efforts. Likely to give it a good go from the front.
Bay Of Supremacy (IRE)
Bellewstown winner from 6 lb higher in April but little to shout about in a quartet of outings since. Hopes pinned on application of a visor.
Harry's Hill
A 3-time C&D winner, the latest of which came in an 11-runner event in August. Down the field in stronger races this autumn but harder to make an excuse for latest effort back here.
Greek Flower (IRE)
It's now 3 years since her last win (got a double up at this meeting in 2023) and recent efforts suggest that she's going through the motions. Cheekpieces back on.
Alnofoor
Won in the mud at Navan and Bellewstown in the spring. Shaped as if back in form when fourth of 21 at Navan (6f, soft) but Wednesday's heavy defeat at Nottingham needs casting aside.
