EXCELLENT BELIEVE can cement his positive start for the Stephen Thorne stable by getting his head back in front here. Unique Journey is the obvious threat after his smart effort to win a 6f course handicap last month. Best of the rest may be Storm Ready, who has quickly reached a useful level when winning both starts this autumn.

Timeform Comments

Dragon Of Malta (IRE)
Completed the rare feat of winning races on successive days for the second year running at Listowel's Harvest Festival in September. Creditable seventh of 16 in handicap at Leopardstown (8.5f, good to soft) 14 days ago but has a bit to fine on these terms.
Hazdann (IRE)
Useful colt. Won conditions event at Roscommon in August. Respectable 9½ lengths fifth of 9 to Come What May in listed race at Leopardstown (1¼m, good to soft, 8/1) since. Down in trip. Cheekpieces on first time.
Key Witness (IRE)
Improving handicapper with fine record on heavy ground at this track. Only denied by promising Storm Ready on return from a break at Naas (7f, soft) last month but well held in a listed event at Leopardstown since.
Unique Journey (IRE)
Smart gelding. 15/2, career best when winning 13-runner handicap at this course (6f, soft) 17 days ago, eased down. The obvious danger to Excellent Believe if in similar form.
Go Just Do It
7f Gowran maiden winner on soft-ground reappearance in April. 13¼ lengths last of 9 to Gstaad in Irish 2000 Guineas here the following month and absent since. Retains potential back at 7f after break.
Storm Ready (IRE)
Won a Listowel maiden on debut in September and followed up in 10-runner handicap at Naas (7f, soft) 22 days ago by ½ length from Key Witness. Definitely more to come.
Valentino Eclipse (IRE)
Won 11-runner maiden (2/5) at this course (6f, heavy) 35 days ago, readily. Unexposed but plenty of improvement will be needed to follow up.
Excellent Believe
Useful sort, placed several times at Group 3/listed level for Jack Channon. Shaped well in a pair of 7f handicaps for new yard in September and best home on his side in the Balmoral at Ascot latest. Hard to beat.
Rion Rubette
Fairly useful filly. Latest win at Gowran in June. 80/1 and hooded first time, respectable 4 lengths fifth of 16 to Princess Child in listed race at Naas (1m, soft) 21 days ago, never nearer. Hard to fancy at these weights.
Tax Me Later (IRE)
Fairly useful form. Good second of 13 in maiden at Naas (1m, soft, 3/1) 22 days ago, clear of rest. Has made a good start to her career but has something to find on these terms.
