Timeform View

MACARONE is going from strength to strength and can defy a 3 lb rise to complete a 5-timer and again thwart A Lott of Kane, who rates a big threat in his bid for a fifth success of the year too. March of Time, Forever Glamorous and Geemann appeal as the pick of the rest in the battle for minor honours.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Of those forecasted with a better chance, A Lott Of Kane could be most vulnerable in a race in which competition for the lead looks to be fierce: Such a hotly-contested pace as is on the cards here may be to the benefit of Yaahobby who is likely to make a challenge late.

Timeform Comments

Cool Doc Boy (IRE)
Second on 6f debut at Kempton last November but below that form since, including both outings for new yard in 6f Southwell handicaps recently. More is needed.
March Of Time (IRE)
Good second in 6f Kempton novice on debut for Jack Channon in September but below that form over C&D and when second of 6 in novice at Yarmouth (5f, soft) 13 days ago. Not written off with few miles on the clock.
Daytona Lady (IRE)
Unreliable individual but she's a 3-time C&D winner and posted a creditable fourth of 10 in 6f handicap at Southwell 14 days ago. Not out of things if on her A-game again.
A Lott Of Kane (IRE)
Gained a fourth win of 2026 (second over C&D) in October. Very good neck second of 13 to Macarone in handicap over C&D 14 days ago. A likely player once more nudged up 1 lb.
Macarone
Thriving 5-y-o who completed a 4-timer in 13-runner handicap over C&D 14 days ago by neck from A Lott of Kane, always holding on. Up another 3 lb but merits serious consideration once more.
Geemann
Got off the mark at the tenth time of asking at Bath (6f) in September. Caught wide when tenth of 11 to A Lott of Kane over C&D last time. Could bounce back here on just his second all-weather start.
Forever Glamorous
Responded well to first-time cheekpieces when opening his account at Ffos Las (5f) in June. Not in quite the same form back there last time, ridden with more restraint when fifth of 6 in August. Makes tapeta debut after a break.
My Mate Kev
It's now 16 runs since last win in 2025 though he comes here in decent form, fifth of 7 in much stronger handicap at Newmarket (5f, good to soft) 11 days ago. Not out of things back up in trip.
Sarafina Mshairi
Course winner but largely below par in 2026, last of 12 in handicap over C&D 20 days ago. Has something to prove.
The Feminine Urge (IRE)
On a long losing sequence and not proving easy to catch right too, though a respectable seventh of 13 to Macarone over C&D 14 days ago.
Yaahobby (IRE)
Ended a long losing streak at Newcastle (6f) in September. Only ninth of 12 in handicap there (6f) 21 days ago so bounce back is required.
Megaphone
Course winner last February (for George Boughey) but it's 20 runs since that success and he's been below par, sixth of 11 in 7f handicap at Southwell 18 days ago.
My Boy Jack
Last of his 3 C&D wins came in July 2024. Largely in good nick of late, though a below-form sixth of 14 in handicap at Nottingham (6f, good to soft) last time.
