Timeform View

A YEAR OLDER was successful on his last run over hurdles returning from 10 months off here on New Year's Day and is chanced to repeat the feat on his reappearance. Moonlight Paradise is another to consider, while it's hard to dismiss the in-form Moonshine Girl for all she faces a much different test than she did when winning at Galway last week.

Timeform Comments

Watching The Clock (IRE)
Made second handicap start a winning one at Gowran (2m) last October. Some good efforts since, including when second at Wexford (3m) in May. Off another 4 months after that, however, and ran poorly at Roscommon 5 weeks ago. Remains unexposed over staying trips.
Moonshine Girl (IRE)
Making up into a consistent sort this season and picked up a second Galway success in 3m handicap hurdle in the mud last week, drawing clear in a first-time visor. 9 lb rise and a different sort of test to overcome but dangerous to dismiss in her current form.
Accustomed (IRE)
Not so good in 2 runs since scoring at Bellewstown (3m) in July but the cheekpieces he wore then go back on and he could revive.
Mickey Cohen (IRE)
Maiden chase winner who posted a career best when ½-length second of 13 to Smackwater Jack in C&D handicap hurdle last month. Not so good at Sligo since but could bounce back returned to this venue.
Smackwater Jack (IRE)
Scored for the second time this season in C&D handicap hurdle last month but produced a laboured effort up 5 lb at Punchestown since.
Moonlight Paradise (IRE)
Improved in first-time blinkers to open her account in 10-runner handicap hurdle at Tramore (21f) in August. Likely in better heart than the form figures of her 2 subsequent starts would suggest (latterly on chasing debut). Isn't discounted back hurdling.
Felicity Smoak (IRE)
Fair maiden hurdler who hit the frame twice this summer. Should strip fitter for a run on the level 4 weeks ago and could figure if her stamina lasts out on first try beyond 2½m.
Ballyhahill (IRE)
Not had much racing but already looking one to tread carefully with, turning in another sour effort on handicap debut at Clonmel (23f) 5 weeks ago, jumping none too fluently and never going well. Stronger headgear goes on.
Its Not Over Yet (IRE)
Not won for a while and hard to catch right, following a good run at Roscommon with a below-par one at Listowel. Has slipped to a tempting mark and tried in new headgear here.
A Year Older (IRE)
Sprung a surprise on last run over hurdles when successful in 3¼m handicap here on New Year's Day returning from 10 months off. Also struck over fences at Limerick (23f) in May and this sort of mark might not be beyond him. Could be worth chancing on reappearance.
Princess Felicia (IRE)
Quickened clear to win a 16-runner 2¾m handicap hurdle at Ballinrobe in August and bounced back to form when fourth at Clonmel last month. One to consider on first go over 3m.
Vroomvroomboo (IRE)
Long-standing maiden handicapper who has been below form on all 4 starts this season and is unproven beyond 2½m.
