ANALOGICAL probably has plenty more to come given his ability on the Flat and how he shaped on his hurdles bow for new connections at Uttoxeter last month, so he gets the vote. The Perfect Poet is worth another chance to confirm the promise of his bumper debut win, while fellow hurdles newcomer Ballyboy Prince needs keeping an eye on for the champion trainer.

Timeform Comments

Alfred Spero
All-weather winner for Gemma Tutty but was always behind on yard/hurdles debut at Fontwell on return last month.
Analogical
Multiple middle-distance winner on the Flat for Sir Mark Prescott and offered plenty to work on sent hurdling after 3 months off when third at Uttoxeter last month. That form has already been boosted and headgear he often wore on the level is back on now.
Ballyboy Prince (FR)
€32,000 3-y-o, Moises Has gelding. Dam unraced half-sister to (stayed 3m) Morosini and (stayed 2½m) L'yser (both useful hurdlers). Unseated on both starts in Irish points in March. Represents top yard so worth a second look.
Boston Run (IRE)
All-weather winner (modest form) on the Flat for Simon Dow. Makes hurdles debut.
Jaycee Reidy (IRE)
Off mark in Irish points at second attempt (Oct 2025) but he failed by a long way to meet expectations at Fontwell on Rules debut last month. Still early days.
Mick The Yank (IRE)
Nirvana Du Berlais gelding. Dam, placed once on Flat in France, sister to fairly useful hurdler/useful chaser (stayed 3m) Belargus and bumper winner/useful 17f hurdle winner Boldog. Didn't show much in Worcester bumper last month.
Our Amigo
Placed in point prior to promising debut third in a Stratford novice in October that has produced winners. Bled the following month but offered little back from 4 months off in March.
Raulin (IRE)
Dam half-sister to French hurdler/chaser Kyrov. Four-time winner on the Flat for David O'Meara. Didn't show much both starts for this yard, including when remote second of 3 on hurdles bow at Plumpton (not jump well). Headgear now goes on.
Soldier Poet (IRE)
Produced a promising first effort when second of 7 in Plumpton bumper last December but well held both starts since. Off 7 months (has had breathing operation). Makes hurdles debut.
The Perfect Poet
£42,000 Poet's Word gelding who justified support in decisive fashion in 5-runner bumper at Fontwell in March. Out of his depth in Grade 2 at Aintree following month but back in much calmer waters now switched to hurdles on return.
Lady Boujee (FR)
Shaped encouragingly when runner-up in bumper at Market Rasen on debut last December. Yet to build on that, though was given a considerate introduction to hurdling at Sedgefield on return last month.
