A GREAT EXCUSE can bounce back with a bang starting out for an in-form yard. Fellow stable-switcher Onewayortother may offer most resistance.

Timeform Comments

Onewayortother (FR)
Ran well when last seen at Southwell just under a year ago. Well handicapped on the pick of his form and he's worth a betting check after a stable switch (left Toby Lawes). Engaged 14.00 Plumpton Monday.
A Great Excuse (IRE)
Left hurdles form well behind on second chase start when winning at Lingfield last winter, finding plenty. Disappointed after but has since joined an in-form yard ahead of his return (has had a breathing operation).
Hello Fortune (IRE)
Irish point winner who showed promise in his 3 qualifying runs over hurdles. However, well held from a stiff opening mark at Wincanton in February and improvement needed now chasing on return.
Mersey Street (IRE)
Front runner who resumed winning ways at Fontwell in May. Added to an all-or-nothing record after 5 months off at Stratford but the outing might have been needed.
Oblemenko (FR)
Unplaced both starts in Irish points and down the field all 3 qualifying runs over hurdles. Should at least make more of impact now handicapping on chase debut.
Ballywood (FR)
Veteran who is without a win since 2019 but went close at Huntingdon in March. Not in same form both starts since, however, and likely to need this after 6 months off.
Helios Allen (FR)
Losing run is mounting up but he posted another creditable effort when third of 5 at Market Rasen last month.
