THE BIG WESTERNER impressed with her jumping both starts over fences last season, opening her chase account in a Grade 2 mares novice at Limerick, and she remains capable of better still for her leading yard. She is taken to see off the challenge of The Enabler, who can go well as he drops back in distance, with Bossofthebrownies also considered.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

The Big Westerner traded at a high of 3.70 and Betfair SP of 2.76 when winning last time, a race in which it led.

Timeform Comments

The Big Westerner (IRE)
Won first 2 starts over hurdles before a fine second in the Albert Bartlett at Cheltenham in 2025. Promising start over fences last season when runner-up in a Fairyhouse maiden and went one better in Grade 2 mares novice at Limerick in December. Off since but she's a smart prospect.
Bossofthebrownies (IRE)
Upped to 3m and fitted with tongue strap, proved a different proposition sent chasing when winning a Fairyhouse maiden a year ago. Ran well in 3 subsequent outings, runner-up in Grade 3 novice at Naas when last seen in January. Tongue strap left off for return, but he could be in the mix.
Rocky's Diamond (IRE)
Made a good start in chases last season, winning a Galway maiden (2¼m) before runner-up in this same race. Hasn't kicked on in 4 outings over fences since, though needed a stiffer test when third of 5 in minor event at Tramore (2¾m) in August. Below form over hurdles 2 weeks later.
The Enabler (IRE)
Soon developed into a better chaser than hurdler last season, successful in a 21f Fairyhouse novice on second chase start. Good efforts in the Kim Muir at Cheltenham and Irish Grand National to end the campaign and this drop back in trip promises to suit. Can make a bold bid.
Sandor Clegane (IRE)
Not straightforward but belatedly gained a first success over fences when making all in 6-runner maiden at Down Royal (2½m) in April. However, wasn't in the same form next time and, after 5 months off, ran below-par over hurdles 22 days ago. Cheekpieces back on.
Katie Daniels (IRE)
Maiden hurdle winner a year ago but jumped ponderously when well beaten in maiden at Punchestown on chasing debut in January. Got back on the up when landing a Fairyhouse handicap hurdle (2½m) in April, though shaped as if amiss next time. Faces a tough ask back over fences.
