Timeform View

TEMPLE is bred to appreciate this longer trip and could be yet another to improve markedly for the switch to James Owen and could outstay Indhaar, who has potential but may not appreciate a slog, while Marquetry is another to take seriously upped in distance.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Indhaar traded at a low of 2.50 and Betfair SP of 2.64 when losing last time, a race in which it raced in mid-field.

Timeform Comments

Salver (FR)
Smart staying chaser who came third of 8 in a Grade 1 chase at Aintree in April on latest start. Now makes first Flat start in Britain and fascinating to see how he fares, but main objective likely to be teeing him up for a return to jumping.
Secret Squirrel
Third in a Grade 2 hurdle at Wincanton in February on an encouraging comeback from year off but went the wrong way subsequently. Now returns to the Flat after 200 days off and is one to note in the betting.
The Resdev Tyke
Won back-to-back handicap hurdles in December and January before finishing second of 10 on Flat debut at Redcar 9 days ago after 8 months off, keeping on. Now steps up in trip but could prove vulnerable to younger rivals.
Velardo (IRE)
Fair form in Ireland but showed little starting out for this yard last month. Now steps up in trip.
Ace Artist
Didn't pull up any trees in 3 bumper outings and likely to struggle starting out on the Flat.
Indhaar
Improved from debut third at Windsor in June when second of 7 at Newcastle 23 days ago. Open to further improvement and represents top connections so should go well, though pedigree means he's not certain to stay this longer trip as well as some.
Temple
Wootton Bassett colt who reached 575,000 gns as a yearling. Just 5 starts to date but promise in that time and came third last 2 starts. This longer trip looks sure to suit and switch to James Owen could be enough to see him break his duck. Has been gelded and wears first-time cheekpieces.
Train In Vain
Fair form at best in 3 starts to date and lot more needed for this step up in trip.
Corallience (IRE)
Hadn't shown much this year before pulling up at Redcar 9 days ago, though that run can be excused as saddle slipped. Significant step up in trip now and is bred to appreciate longer distances but still hard to be confident about.
Marquetry (IRE)
Lightly-raced filly who showed fair form when placed last 2 starts. Needs more here but longer trip looks sure to suit and she hails from a top yard so needs considering.
