Timeform View

The finale can go the way of LAW OF DESIGN, who had been shaping up well this autumn prior to having excuses last time. He could be ready to get back to winning ways as he drops in grade, though Launch Time isn't taken lightly arriving on the back of a success at Ayr, while Just Queen High helps give Ian Williams a strong hand in the race.

Timeform Comments

Look Back Smiling (IRE)
Regular slow starter, but switched back to cheekpieces, took advantage of a much reduced mark when ending long losing run in 14-runner contest at Bath 6 days ago, scoring by a length from Just Queen High. Task is now to build on latest effort under a penalty.
Dark Rosa (IRE)
Without a win this year but arrives in good heart, placing for the fifth time in her last 6 starts when a close third of 14 at Brighton 20 days ago, faring best of those ridden prominently. Can give her running once more.
Somkiyr (FR)
Fairly useful winner in France, but little promise over hurdles for this yard and hasn't offered much more back on the Flat last 4 starts. Retuns from nearly 5 months off with enough to prove.
Sixfiveseven
After 16-month absence, went the right way on his first 3 starts for J. S. Moore this season but ran below form at Salisbury (1¼m) when last seen in June. Switches to cheekpieces with tongue strap reapplied for stable debut (has had breathing operation).
Born A Rebel
Has made the frame several times in handicaps this year, running respectably when fourth of 15 at Newmarket 5 days ago. Remains 2 lb above her last winning mark, though does at least get a drop back in grade here.
Launch Time
Successful twice in big-field handicaps at Leopardstown this season, the latest over 7f in August. Had excuses at Laytown on penultimate start, before getting back to winning ways in first-time blinkers at Ayr last month. Respected.
Condotti (IRE)
Built on previous promise when finally getting off the mark at Haydock (1¼m) in September. Found run of good form coming to a halt, though, when down the field at Bath last month.
Law Of Design (IRE)
Seems to have benefited from the recent fitting of a visor, showing promise in 2 starts at Redcar before possibly finding the race coming too soon after 10 days off at Leicester last time. Worth another chance making first start in class 6 company.
Just Queen High (IRE)
Won maiden and handicap (both over 6f on ground softer than good) at this course in 2025. Had struggled for form this season, until upped to 1m she finished length second of 14 to Look Back Smiling at Bath (soft) 6 days ago. Interesting with good-value claimer on board.
Crimson Rambler
Won twice at around 1m on all-weather in March and several solid efforts on turf since, including when third at this course (1¼m) early last month. Possibly made his effort earlier than ideal when sixth of 15 at Yarmouth 15 days ago. Drops back in trip.
Mayflower Billy
Mixed record this season, following a pair of in-frame efforts with lesser runs on his last 2 outings, tried in a visor when well held at Southwell 16 days ago. Cheekpieces now go back on.
Rogers Dream
Has taken her form up a notch for current yard this season, getting off the mark when making all in classified event at Ripon (1¼m) in August. Has placed in handicaps at around the same trip all 3 starts since, second in 15-runner contest here a week ago.
Ravishing Beauty
All 3 career wins on good to soft ground, the latest at Carlisle in June. After a couple of lesser efforts, returned to form when fourth of 13 at Ayr last month and she's now 3 lb below her last winning mark.
Supreme Dancer (IRE)
Runner-up on 2 of first 3 starts this season before belatedly opening his account in maiden handicap at Carlisle (7f) in August. Backed up that effort when second of 6 at Wolverhampton 22 days ago.
Special Breeze
Maiden who ran creditably on first outing since leaving Pam Sly when fifth of 14 in handicap at Southwell (1m) in September. However, wasn't in the same form when also finishing fifth in 9-runner contest there (7f) 16 days ago.
